🎶 Dark Paradise — Lana Del Rey 🎶To say that this angry version of Pablo's didn't turned me on, would be a total and complete lie. And I wanted, scrap that, craved nothing more than him and his touch all over my body. On the other hand though, I was mad about how he was treating me, but what I was even madder about was that it made me only want him more, closer, instead of pushing him away. And who the fuck was that girl with them? Had he really gone off seeing other chicks while we had our thing going on?
Despite all my raging feelings against him, I still spent all Wednesday morning at the office staring at the blank Word document in front of me, not knowing how to start writing the chapter about him.
"You haven't typed one letter into your computer since yesterday..." Irene commented worriedly.
"I did! I wrote the words 'Chapter 38', look!" I defended myself and turned my monitor over for her to see.
"38 chapters! You writing an auto-biography or what?" she joked and I cracked a smile too.
"Oh shut up. How do you overcome writer's block?" I asked.
"I go home usually, my little brother annoys the hell out of me that I can't bear him anymore and I want to run back to work" she chuckled. "But going home is not an option for you, you have a reminder for an interview with Cubalsi I see" she said as she looked at my computer and wiggled her eyebrows.
"It's CubaRsi and he just turned 17, I'm not a perv!" I said and started packing up my stuff to drive to the Ciutat Esportiva."How did dinner go yesterday by the way? I read that Pablo was at that restaurant too?" she asked.
"Right. We need to talk about that, let's have dinner tonight, I gotta rush now!" I said and walked away quickly. The drive to the Ciutat Esportiva felt familiar now, even though I missed my scooter and was stuck in traffic with a car now. When I arrived, I walked up to the receptionist who always greeted me with a smile on her face - at least someone here did.
"Hello Vicky, they're still training so if you want to walk outside you can or you could also just wait here" she said friendly.
"Where are the chances slimmer to run into Gavi?" I asked and she laughed.
"I'd say it's 50:50, he's around here somewhere" she replied and I looked defeated, but decided to watch the training session, maybe I could find some details to write about in my next article.I was happy to see that the squad had regained some strength and good feelings after their last results. Cubarsi's agent saw me and walked up to greet me and we engaged in some small talk until the end of the session, when his client walked up to us.
"Hello Miss Hernández" he said friendly and shook my hand.
"Oh please, call my Vicky" I said and smiled.
"Right. Shall we start?" he asked.
"Um... maybe... you could shower first? I wanted to take some pictures for the article and social media" I said and showed him my small work camera.
"Oh sure! I'll make sure to be quick!" he said friendly and disappeared.Pedri was also going inside and shot me a wave, which I reciprocated. I started feeling bad about the secret I was carrying with me that also involved him but under no circumstances I was going to break Chiara's trust - the only thing I could do was try and talk some sense into her. However, with Pablo's current behaviour, I could see where she was coming from. She was having a kid and that kid needed stability - and Mateo could offer that whereas guys like Pedri and Pablo were a walking question mark.
Pau came back after about fifteen minutes, showered, combed and wearing some fresh training gear, with Marc and Hector Fort following behind as those two walked back to the La Masía building.
"Hey Vicky" Marc said and waved as he passed.
"Hi Marc. The hair is awful by the way" I said before turning to Pau who was laughing as Marc was throwing his hands at me."Ok, let's get started. Shall we just walk around a bit? Find a free pitch and a football?" I asked. That guy was 17 and had just entered the big stage, I wanted him to feel like this was a comfortable conversation and not an interrogation.
"Yeah, sounds great" he said, sounding a bit relieved. We walked around the facilities and he told me about his life at the academy, his first game, first goal and some special moments in his career. He was very nice and undoubtedly good at football, but... when I talked to him I felt that he was very... plain, don't get me wrong. I just somehow compared him to Pablo and my first conversations with him and he had been just so - exciting, there was so much to learn about him and I had gotten the feeling to want to know and discover everything about him.
