Gavi POV

The rest of the dinner went quite well and I covered the bill for everyone, hoping that it was the right move. In the end, I drove the all home, first I dropped off Kike and Vicky and then her parents at their hotel, before I finally drove back home. When I had made myself comfortable in bed, I called my girlfriend, not knowing if she was already asleep.

"Hey! How was the rest of the ride?" she asked when she picked up.
"Good. Your Dad and I even managed a civil conversation" I chuckled.
"I was really impressed by you standing up for yourself. It was kind of... hot" she said, sounding very flirty.
"Oh, is that so?" I chuckled, imagining her in her bed, with one of her sexy satin pyjamas on.
"Very. If we hadn't been with my parents, I'd have asked you to fuck me at the restaurant's loo" she whispered and I felt my dick getting hard. Were we about to have phone sex? How does that work, I had never done that before.
"Are you... in bed?" I asked, not having a clue what I should do next, except putting a hand in my boxers.
"I am. And I am so wet for you" she whispered and I stroked my length up and down after hearing that.
"Fuck... I'd love to taste you now" I blurted out, hoping that it would turn her on, but really, I was just clueless.
"My fingers just aren't as pleasuring as you... but they're doing the job" she said, breathing heavily and I accelerated the tempo of my hand movements. After moaning each others names and a few other dirty things, we both came undone. Fuck, that was good.

"We should do that more often when I'm away" I chuckled after we had recomposed ourselves.
"Yeah, but I prefer you here with me" she said. I debated on picking up the "I love you"-topic but decided against it, as I didn't want to do that over the phone.
"Do you want to come over to mine tomorrow evening?" I asked, hoping to have come up with something special until then.
"Yeah, we're dropping off the parents at 5 at the train station, I'm free after." she said.
"Great, I'll be done with training by then, just text me when you're coming over. And you're very welcome to stay the night so bring your work stuff and so on..." I blabbered.
"Sure, I'll see you tomorrow then" she said and hung up.

The next day at training, Robert, Ferran, Fermín and I were sat together at the cafeteria for lunch and Pedri was just about to join us, as he unfortunately wasn't training with us.
"Glad to see you're still alive and her parents didn't shred you to pieces" my best friend said as he walked up to us.
"Ohhhh, yes, the family dinner! How was it?" Robert asked curiously.
"I defended myself quite well. In the end, I think her Dad has come to terms with it now. But... I said at the table that I loved her even though I haven't told her yet" I said and turned red.
Ferran and Pedri broke out in laughter, and Robert was quick to slap Ferran lightly on his head, signalling them to stop.

"She's coming over tonight and I plan on telling her properly, but... I found something yesterday at her place" I said, the watch hadn't left my mind.
"Oh my gosh, what???" Fermín asked curiously.
"A watch... A very, very expensive diamond Rolex. And I honestly don't know how she got it and why she's keeping it secret, I've never seen her wear it. Without belittling her job, but I don't think she'd make enough to afford something like that" I said.
"Maybe she stole it" Ferran joked and I shot him a glare.
"Ooohh, yes, maybe her family's in the mafia" Fermín said, heavily invested in this theory now.
"Maybe an ex-boyfriend?" Robert said, trying to come up with something reasonable.
"Just ask her" Pedri said, being proud that he had brought up the adult solution.
"Yeah, sure... Hey, Vicky, I was going through your stuff, why do you have a 100,000$ Rolex in your nightstand? That sounds ridiculous" I said and rolled my eyes.
"Then don't ask. But if it's on your mind you shouldn't worry about it sounding ridiculous" Pedri countered and for once, he was right.

When I returned home, my nervousness rose, especially because I hoped that she would say that she loved me too.
"Hey, oh wow. You cleaned up!" she said with a bright smile on her face when she arrived.
"You look so beautiful" I said and pulled her close to me to kiss her.
"And you're cooking!" she exclaimed when she walked into the kitchen.
"It's only huevos rotos" I said.
"You remembered that it's my favourite dish!" she exclaimed happily.
"Of course I remember. I remember everything. Your favourite time of the day is sunset, your favourite place in Barcelona is the beach in Llevant, you love listening to jazz music, weirdly, and your favourite sleeping position is on your stomach. Vicky, I notice and remember everything. I want to spend every day discovering something new about you. I... I love you" I said.
"Your favourite time of the day is the afternoon, favourite place in Barcelona: easy, Camp Nou and the Ciutat Esportiva. You love your Spanish rappers and what else: oh, favourite sleeping position is scrambled around like a dead octopus." she said and smiled brightly at me, making me laugh. "I love you, Pablo" she added and walked over to me to give me a kiss.

"Ok, sorry to ruin the romantic moment, but the eggs are burning" I quickly said and pushed her away to grab the pan just in time. I served the plates and we walked over to my dining table.
"Sorry for blurting out the 'I love you' part yesterday at dinner. I wanted to be a bit more romantic, but... it slipped" I chuckled.
"It's ok, I... was just surprised that you said it with such confidence. I was a bit afraid that you only said it to please my Dad, but... I know, no, I feel that you really love me" she said and took my hand.
"I really do. All these feelings I'm having for the first time... it's a bit surreal, I know that you've had your exes and..." I said, but she interrupted me.
"I've never felt like this for someone else. You give me a sense of security and safety, it's like... you're my safe haven" she mumbled and those words burnt into my mind. I would never forget her saying that.

After dinner, we made ourselves comfortable on the sofa and I opened up Netflix to continue watching Suits, it had become our go-to series.
"You have a nice watch" I blurted out, my curiosity getting ahead of me once again.
"It's cool right?! It looks expensive because of the leather band and stuff, but it's really just a Casio" she said proudly, holding up her wrist for me to see.
No, not that watch, Vicky.
"I meant... I saw your Rolex..." I mumbled.
Suddenly, she stiffened.
"How did you find that?" she asked seriously.
"When you asked me to fetch your wallet. It was right next to it. Is it yours?" I asked.
"What? You think I stole it?" she asked, almost like she was defending herself.
"No! I was just... wondering how you could afford that, I mean... I hope they're paying you well at Vanguardia, but that's even expensive for me" I said, trying to be careful with my words.
"It was a present, it's not important" she said and I saw that she didn't want to speak about it as she concentrated on the TV screen.
Probably ex-boyfriend then, like Robert had suspected.
