🎶 Pompeii — Bastille 🎶

After the intense past week, I had gotten my Tuesday and Friday nights off this week, as there was enough action with the Copa del Rey and another League matchweek. My boss thankfully understood that I also needed time at home. When I woke up on Tuesday morning, I went for a run first, as that always helped me clear my mind. After showering and getting ready, I walked to the city to meet up with my brother for lunch as it had been a long time since just us two did something together. We talked about his work and he whined about a girl not texting him back and after a look at their chat, I told him that she definitely wasn't interested and he should forget about her.

After we parted ways again, I went to Dr Reyes' office for my scheduled therapy session. We didn't meet up as often as before now, also due to my job, but I still felt like I needed the talks with her from time to time. When I was done, I strolled around the city center for a bit more, but decided to go home eventually. I just felt like doing nothing and turned on the TV, watching stupid talk shows all afternoon. In the evening, Luis, Mateo, Chiara and I were set to have dinner together and I couldn't wait to see my best friend and Mateo together - I was just curious about their dynamic and how they looked together. Because of my excitement, I arrived ten minutes early, already finding Mateo sitting at our table though.

"Hey! It's good to see you again!" I said cheerily and he stood up to greet me.
"Hi, Vicky! I'm so happy to see you after... you know, everything" he said and I sat down on the other side of the table.
"You're early" I chuckled as we waited for our two friends.
"I just want to make a good impression... I'm finally getting a chance after all these years, I can't jinx it" he said with a sheepish grin on his face. Gosh, he was head over heels for her.
Luis arrived next and sat down next to him, across from me after greeting us. Chiara was last, slightly late but she excused herself a thousand times even though it wasn't really needed as it had only been four minutes.

It was such a fun evening and it was great to see Mateo and Chiara interact, it was like... fireworks were going off on their side of the table and at times, they just seemed to be in their own world. The boys had gone to pay now and I turned to my friend.
"Have you talked to Pedri?" I asked her and she nodded.
"I have. He took it well" she replied and I raised my eyebrows in surprise.
"Really? Did you tell him it was because of another guy?" I asked, still incredulous that they had actually managed to pull this off without feelings.
"Of course not, it's none of his business. It was nice, we ended it on friendly terms, all is good, Vicky" she said and grinned.
"Ok, ok. I surrender, maybe sex is possible without feelings" I chuckled and raised my arms in defeat.
