🎶 Moth To A Flame (with The Weeknd) — Swedish House Mafia, The Weeknd 🎶On Saturday morning, I took the train to Madrid again for Real's game against Girona at the Bernabeu. On the one hand, I was definitely rooting against the Blancos, but a loss from Girona today meant that Barca could close in on second place. The capital was colder than home, but I still loved the city and spent the afternoon doing some shopping and strolling through the streets that I used to call home for three years during my bachelor's at uni.
Real demolished Girona and I was ready to get down to the media panel - the part I hated most when reporting from the Bernabeu.
"Well, well, hello Miss Hernandez" I heard a familiar voice say and turned around to find Modric.
"Hello hello" I greeted him back.
"How has it been going? Any updates on your love life? You and Laporta? You and Riquelme?" he asked and laughed.
"Wow! You are informed!" I said a bit surprisedly, but mostly embarrassed.
"My wife loves the gossip columns" he chuckled.
"Ok now Mr Midfield, let's talk about the game instead of my private life" I said and raised my eyebrow jokingly. And even though I hated Real to my guts, I couldn't really ask them any tricky questions tonight. They played well, had great individual players and performed superbly. Complete contrary of Barca when they currently stepped onto the field. I was still hoping for a Bellingham interview but every time, he somehow managed to slip through my fingers. Today, Valverde appeared as his "replacement", he was nice, but still. The readers wanted Bellingham and I wanted to give him to them, but it just didn't work out for some reason. I'd have my next chance in Leipzig on Tuesday however.
After the game, I went out for dinner with my cousin Blanca at a very nice restaurant that I wouldn't have been able to afford during uni.
"Are you excited about D&G?" I asked as we were waiting for our risottos.
"My gosh, Vicky! Of course I am! This is so amazing and I am so happy for you. And that I can do this alongside you, it truly is an honour" she said, joking a bit at the last part and I cracked a smile too.
"It is, I'm so happy too. Anyways, what do you think of Luis Laporta?" I asked her, testing the waters as he had expressed his interest in my cousin to me.
"Your boyfriend?" she teased me.
"He isn't my boyfriend and never will be" I stated and pointed my fork at her.
"But who will be your next boyfriend?" she chuckled now and I was ready to throw hands.
"We were talking about you!" I replied, a bit exasperated.
"He's nice, but I don't know if he's really my type. You know I like blond ones" she shrugged and I didn't say anything back, not wanting to give her the opportunity to ask me about my love life again.📍 Madrid, Spain
