On Tuesday, Mum and Dad came over to help me pack and I had to promise them to call and text as often as possible. I was going to have a phone and an internet connection, but with current circumstances it wasn't guaranteed that it would always work 100%. While Mum was cooking some lunch, Dad and I stood on the balcony, overlooking the streets and the weekday hustle.

"You're doing the right thing. Don't lose focus. You put yourself and your career first, don't let anyone make you feel guilty" he said, and I knew he was talking about Pablo.
"I know I'm doing the right thing... But it's just not me alone anymore, I should have told him earlier..." I sighed.
"You should have. But you cannot change that now and you need all your energy in focusing on delivering a good job and staying safe. Don't be reckless, but still, try to push yourself to deliver the best stories. I'm so proud of you baby girl" he said and hugged me.
"I hope Pablo is proud too" I mumbled.
"He is. He loves you. He knows that he needs to let you shine too. Maybe it's still hard for him to show it fully, but deep down, I know it." my Dad replied and I looked up at him with a weird face. Since when was he so nice about my boyfriend?

We had lunch together and then my parents left eventually to give me some space to concentrate for packing the last necessary things. Pablo was picking me up this evening and we were spending the night together at his place. He wanted to take me to the airport tomorrow morning and my parents would be there to send me off too. Kike was talking to his boss today about coming in later so that he could also come and I hoped that it would work out.

Around 7, my boyfriend arrived and got upstairs to help me carry down my suitcase. I closed the apartment door after a last look and followed my boyfriend into his Audi. We drove to Castelldefels and talked about our respective days, training had been good and Barca would be playing Sociedad away on Saturday, where they hoped to win again, in order to somehow keep up with Madrid after the disastrous defeat of the last weekend.

"I've got something for you" he said as we had parked in his garage and he pulled out a small box from his jacket's pocket.
"Wha- you shouldn't have, Pablo..." I whispered as I unwrapped the paper to find a black Chanel box. Please, please, no logos, I hated that. But why did I even worry, Pablo knew me inside out - I opened it to find a gorgeous pair of star-shaped diamond stud earrings.
"Wow" I just managed to gasp and my boyfriend grinned.
"It's because you're a star. And no matter where we are, we're both under the same sky full of stars. It's your time to shine, Vicky. You told me that I could see you on TV and maybe you know... I can see you wear them on screen and... know that you're still close by... I don't know, that sounds we-" he said, but I cut him off with a kiss.
"It's so thoughtful and perfect, I'll never take them off" I whispered and leaned my front against his.
