(Y/n)'s Point Of View

After being dismissed by the Lord, I swifty left the North wing. I couldn't help but take my time as I left, enjoying staring at all the artwork hung on the walls. That made me wonder if the Lord was a fan of art, if he was a collector or just a mere appreciater. Judging by the different mediums he owned, ranging from inking to scroll poetry and then statues positioned by certain rooms, I'd say he really had an eye for art.

After walking back to the south wing, I decided to take a small break to eat my lunch. I took a loaf of bread from the pantry and then made my way outside the temple, planning to sit on the stairs as I watched the clouds. You can imagine my suprise when I saw Uraume doing the same thing, sitting with a bowl of strew I'm her grip, taking slow sips as she stared out into the distance calmly.

"May I join you?" I suddenly asked her, making her turn to face me with her usual stoic expression, looking down at the bread in my hands before nodding and motioning for me to take a seat beside her. I smiled as I sat down with a content smile, begining to eat my bread silently in order not to disturb the peace I could feel radiating off her aura.

My eyes locked on the sky, realising that despite being midday, it was dark. The cloud covered the entirety of the sky, blocking the sun and presenting itself with a dark grey shade that made the day feel gloomy. It was probably due to a storm coming and eventually it would being raining. At first, I assumed the barrier around temple grounds blocked rain the same way it did with lightning, but then I realised rain was needed for the crops to grow.

"Uraume, may I ask you something?" I suddenly asked, unable to sit in silence.
"You may." She replied softly, without looking at me. I wondered if she was already prepared for me to end up breaking the silence eventually.
"How long have you worked for Lord Sukuna?" I asked her curiously, taking another bite into my bread.

"For as long as I can remember." The lady replied truthfully. I wasn't sure how old Uraume was but I assumed that meant over a decade which would make more sense as to why Sukuna turned to her with issues and tasks the way he did.
"Has he..." I eventually trailed off, suddenly feeling silly. "Has he ever treated you unfairly in anyway? Wrongly?"

"Not that I recall. He has always treated me with a certain level of respect." Uraume replied truthfully with a nod, making me smile down to myself, fiddling with the bread load on my lap.
"That's nice. I'm...really glad." I whispered with relief, noticing the way Uraume turned her head to look at me.
"(Y/n)..." Uraume whispered, making me look at her, forcing my smile to stay.

"Lord Sukuna...he is many things, but I cannot assure you enough that he is nothing like your old masters." Uraume assured me. "Every day the Lord evolves and becomes a better ruler." My pupils trembled as she spoke, making me chuckle sheepishly, ripping away eye contact after she said those comforting words to scratch the back of my neck.

"I knew that." I told the lady softly with a quiet and breathless giggle.
"My old masters did not care about the words that left my mouth if they were not praises for the way they moves their hips...unlike them, Lord Sukuna cares about my opinions. Probably because I pester him so much with them." I joked, not missing the way Uraume shook her head in disagreement.

"It is not just your mere opinions that the Lord is interested in, (Y/n)." Uraume told me, making my brows furrow.
"Hmm?" I asked innocently.
"It is you, does that not become more obvious everyday?" Uraume asked, making me pause. "Nobody before you have ever dares to approach him to fearlessly. Even I fear him sometimes- especially when he is angry because that is when he is most unpredictable."

"But you...it is like you do not see his faults. You see perfection and therefore do not fear it." Uraume told me. I let her words settle in for a while before making it known to her that I disagreed.
"Uraume, when you have met the true monsters of this world, you gain the ability to very easily tell apart the rest of the world...the good from the bad." I whispered.

"I am no fool. I am aware of the Lord's past. He has killed for the sake of killing, raped for the sake of pleasure and hurt for the sake of entertainment." I mumbled, having heard all the stories from the other girl's I was taken to China with. "But that is what it his, his past. It is what he used to do and I believe people can change...from good to bad, or from bad to good- or even just sit across the line that divides them."

"Call me crazy, but I think if that monster who plagues my dreams were to come to me today and show me that he has changed and show me that he no longer sees women as objects to use for his sexual pleasure- that pain no longer excites him...then I think I would do my best to genuinely forgive him for all that he has done to me." I whispered weakly, "I cannot forgive him on the behalf of the many others affected by his memory, but I can speak on the behalf of myself."

"You're...a strange girl." Uraume whispered, shaking her head, making me giggle softly as I looked up at the sky
"You must think I'm so foolish...but Uruame, if you'd seen what I'd seen and felt what I'd felt and lost faith in humanity for as long as I had...I think you too would choose to natively hope for a hopeless cause." I told her softly with a smile.

"Because although the odds of my previous master coming to my doorstep and requesting forgiveness are little to none...it is the only thing that motivates me to continue living." I told her, my voice cracking, "I see no other reason to live but to watch monsters turn back into men." Tears slid down my cheeks as I spoke, making me quick to whipe them away.

"I want to give women hope again. Comfort. Safety. Warmth. That is what I want." I told her weakly, forcing another smile to remind my body that I am happy and not sad. I didn't want to hurt Uraume with my aura of complete desolation. But when my eyes travelled to Uraume, I realised it was too late. Tears had already slipped down her cheeks. She did not look at me and did not sob, but she let her tears fall freely.

"If it helps, I think you're succeeding- with the case of the Lord, I mean." She then told me, making my brows furrow.
"What do you mean?" I asked her.
"Come on, (Y/n). You are always on his mind, your name on the tip of his tongue when he speaks. That is be because you left a mark on him." Uraume said, making me chuckle.
"Only because I'm so annoying." I joked, making Uraume sigh as if I were not understanding her point.

"(Y/n), why do you think the Lord called you into the baths today?" Uraume then asked, making me confused.
"Well, to assist him in bathing, of course. Due to my error of judgement with the berry picking, I have left him with no other servants that could assist him." I replied, telling her what he'd told me. Uraume then sighed, unable to get through to me.

"(Y/n), don't you understand? The Lord has never once asked a member of staff for assistance during his bathing hours before today... and that is because he is not an infant. He is perfectly capable of washing himself." Uraume informed me, making me pause. Sukuna's never used a servant to bathe him before? Well that would certainly explain why he was so tense everytime I touched him.

"He has even summoned you into the north wing. That is an incredible honour. No other staff but I enters his private wing- especially no staff with a black kimono." Uraume told me, motionimg to my uniform. I found it hard to speak, overwhelmed by such information.
"But then... why?" I mumbled baffledly, only for Uraume to sigh, looking back into the sky as she said,

"Like I said... you've made your mark on him, and it is spreading."

(A.N ~ Btw I want to let it be known that I'll be portraying Uraume as asexual. I do not see her having any feeling for Sukuna other than respect and likewise for any other person.)
