3rd Point Of View
After (Y/n) had taken Lord Sukuna his meal, Uraume stayed behind with the cook. As per Sukuna's request, she'd guarded (Y/n) diligently whilst the girl taught the cook how to make chow mein. And once the girl had left to deliver said dish, Uraume took the cook to the bathing room to be punished. Sukuna requested that the cook spent five minutes half submerged in boiling water, having everything but his hands and head underwater. That way, he'd still be able to cook.
After the punishment was over with, Uraume helped the cook apply medicinal gel to his skin and then left him alone to go and have her own dinner. Uraume had already prepared herself rabbit stew earlier- only a few moments before Sukuna has suddenly summoned her in order to chaperone (Y/n). Uruame had to warm up the stew again, it having gone cold during her absence.
Then when the stew was warmed up, Uraume sat outside on the steps. She enjoyed the way her hot food wafted steam into the air, allowing her to be entranced while eating and staring at the sky. It wasn't long later that (Y/n) came and sat down beside Uraume, holding her own bowl of what Uruame guessed was soup but couldn't be too sure because of how foreign it looked.
Uraume didn't speak up when (Y/n) sat down, comfortable with the girl's presence as this wasn't the first time they'd had dinner together and probably not the last. Dinner was never usually a meal that Uraume had in company so admittedly it was a nice change. It was always nice that (Y/n) never crossed the line. Uraume liked that (Y/n) knew when to speak and when not to speak. She seemed to know when Uraume would rather sit in silence and when she didn't mind conversation.
After around ten minutes of silence, (Y/n) finally spoke, having had something on her mind for a while now.
"Uraume...does the cook know who I am?" (Y/n) suddenly asked, her voice soft and curious. Uraume's fingers hovered over her spoon when she'd dipped it into the bowl, taken back by sudden and random the question.
"How do you mean?" Uraume asked."I'm not quite sure...he just seemed to recognise me after he'd gotten a better look at me." (Y/n) mumbled in thought, her spoon caught between her lips as she stared out into the distance. Uraume then realised what (Y/n) meant, nodding in understanding after taking another spoonful of stew into her mouth.
"It wasn't you he recognised. It was your kimono as well as the flowers in your hair." Uraume told the girl simply, making (Y/n) turn to her with interest."Why would he recognise those?" (Y/n) asked curiously, placing her soup down beside her, no longer interested in eating. Uraume sighed as she took another bite of her rabbit stew. Once she'd swallowed, she spoke up to say,
"Because those aspects of yourself were listed in an important briefing that the Lord had me give to the staff upon their return to the temple today."Twelve hours ago
"This is a special briefing requested by Lord Sukuna himself." Uraume said loudly, her voice echoing across the main hall of the south wing where she had all the staff members from both the indoor workers and outdoor workers group collectively so that she may talk to them. Everyone was on edge, staring at Uraume while fidgeting, not understanding why they were here.
"What's this about, Uraume?" One of the older workers asked, his brows furrowed.
"This briefing is to make you aware of a girl here that is at service to Lord Sukuna, similar to you all. However, simultaneously she is also nothing like you at all." Uraume began, "I'm sure most of you have had an encounter or two with her already.""She's at service to Lord Sukuna but is not like us? What do you mean? A whore?" Another person asked, baffled.
"Not a whore." Uraume said immediately, her eyes narrowing in on that particular person, "In fact, please refrain from mentioning whores within the bounds of this temple from now on." At this, a few men scoffed, faking amusement to hide their confusion. Nobody understoof what was going on."Concerning this girl, the Lord has set rules for you all that you must abide by. If these rules are broken, you will be punished." Uruame began simply.
"Rules?" Another person mumbled. Uraume ignored the mumbles as she pulled out a scroll from the sleeve of her kimono, one in which that had all the rules neatly written down."Firstly, you are not to interact with her unless she is to interact with you first." Uraume read, "You'll recognise her by the red and gold kimono as well as the flowers she braids into her hair."
"Next, if you have labour that needs to be done, none of you are to bother her if you are in need of help. If she offers you help, you are to politely decline." Uraume continued, her eyes darting over to the young man who had asked (Y/n) once before for help, resulting in the whole temple being unable to use their hands for days."This girl is allowed to free rein over the entire temple and all four wings, and so you are never to deny her access anywhere." Uraume read, envoking whispers among the group- people wondering if that meant the north wing too. Surely Sukuna didn't mean his own living quarters. Nobody but Uraume was allowed in there as she was the one who cleaned the north wing.
"Next, if she is to ask for assistance with anything, you are to assist her." Uraume continued to read from her scroll, ignoring the bushes whispers.
"Additionally," She began, her eyes flickering up to the men in the room that she did not trust, "You are not to make physical contact with her nor involve yourself with her romantically or sexually in any way or manner. That- I'd say is the most important rule.""As severe as the punishment for breaking any other rule, these new rules will be no different- perhaps, even more painful." Uraume told them all.
"That is all for this briefing. Thank you for listening and taking time out of your morning schedules." Uruame thanked, bowing ever so slightly with gratitude."My lady, I just... don't understand. Why so much trouble for this one girl when she is also at service to Lord Sukuna?" A younger girl asked with confusion.
"I'm also curious. Who is this girl and what is her importance?" Another lady asked, making Uraume sigh briefly. As the whispers and agreements died down, Uruame finally decided to fearlessly answer their questions,"She is the future queen to Lord Sukuna."
