3rd Point Of View

"Again." Sukuna said, his voice echoing throughout the training yard. (Y/n) groaned as she fell to her knees, her legs giving out and forcing her to the sandy ground. Sweat trickled down her forehead as she began whining.
"I can't." She moaned, unable to even force herself to stand again.
"Yes, you can. Do it again." Sukuna reiterated, his voice stern and leaving no room for doubts.

(Y/n) groaned with exhaustion as she forced herself to activate her cursed energy, forcing it to the bottom of her feet where she then spread it across the ground. Shogi tiles began appearing across the floor, one by one. Sukuna watched as it spread, backing away slowly as it approached him so that he wouldn't get caught in her domain expansion- no matter how weak it was now.

He'd been putting her through this for the past two days- an intensive training on her domain expansion. She expressed to him that now she managed to direct her aura she that she was ready to delve into her domain expansion, but she didn't know where to start. Sukuna agreed to help her as long as she understood that his training methods would not be easy.

"It's useless!" (Y/n) cried out as the checkered board began dissolving into thin air, disappearing square by square just as quickly as she'd summoned them. The girl was drained, she could barely summon half the board before they began fading away again.
"Maybe I'm just not fit to have a domain expansion." (Y/n) mumbled to herself as Sukuna walked closer from behind her.

"You will master your domain expansion." Sukuna assured the girl, "It will take time and a lot of hard work but it will happen." As Sukuna spoke, (Y/n) could only take note of how confident he sounded in her. She wished she had that kind of confidence in herself.
"And if I can't? Will you think that I'm weak?" (Y/n) then asked him sadly, a frown slipping onto her lips. Sukuna scoffed with amusement as he squatted beside her, reaching out to brush a strand of hair away from the girl's face.

"Weak? I already think everyone other than me is weak." Sukuna smirked, making (Y/n) gape with offence.
"Sukuna!" She exclaimed, hitting his arm which made him laugh. "You know what I mean!" As she reached out to hit him again, Sukuna grabbed her wrist.
"You will be able to this, Little (L/n). You're far more capable than you think." Sukuna told her, looking her into her eyes.

At the mention of her last name, (Y/n)'s lips parted, remembering the fact that Sukuna called her that at the painters market and exposed her identity. Just as the girl was about to bring it up, the sound of footsteps made both Sukuna and (Y/n) to the temple's entryway to see a familiar white haired lady emerge.
"My Lord." Uraume began, making Sukuna raised his brow questioningly at her, "They've done it." Sukuna paused with confusion before slowly standing to his feet, (Y/n) rising from beside him.
"Who's 'they' and what have they done?" Sukuna asked with a baffled look.

"The curse user Sanoko Asahi has just returned from the Shimutsui Village with the forest inhibiting ice spirit." Uraume said, making (Y/n) freeze. "They're keeping it contained in the throne room, waiting for you both." Sukuna began chuckling as he ran his fingers through his hair, having forgotten about that little side quest. Honestly, he only agreed to the quests because he was too lazy to pick a leader at random. He didn't realise how much trouble Hiyate's death would cause.

"Ah, I forgot about that." Sukuna told her as his eyes flickered towards (Y/n) who seemed to be frozen in place. The ice spirit was here? The same spirit that killed her mother? The same spirit that killed Yumi? She was aware this would happen and at that time she thought she'd want to take revenge. But all she can feel now was fear. It couldn't hurt her now, so why was she still scared?

"It's...here?" (Y/n) gulped, her fingers trembling so much that she had to clench her fist into a ball.
"Would you like to greet it?" Sukuna asked as he stood infront of her, blocking her view of Uraume so that Sukuna was all she could focus on.
"I...I don't know." (Y/n) whispered as she looked up into his eyes with a fearful expression that Sukuna wanted to wipe away. He hated that she still had things to fear.
