Is It Hot In Here, Or Is It You Guys?

Connie wouldn't consider herself a swooning, gawking, ogling kind of girl. She could find someone attractive without making a scene, a quick glance would be all she needed.

It was strange though, when Star and Diamond were sitting on the couch together shirtless. The human half's legs were partially dangled over the diamonds lap, who rested a single hand on his shin. It wasn't a huge couch, and they were sitting as far apart as possible. The men were rather large, so it made it hard not to overlap somehow even in an attempt to cool off. Star looked mildly uncomfortable with his back pressed against the armrest and he wiped at his forehead lazily. It was nearly 106 degrees outside today, record temperatures had been sweeping along the coast with vicious heat so it made sense that the two were shirtless. Or at least in Stars case.

"Hi."

The two looked at her, Star smiling and Diamond awkwardly waving.

She would deny this moment later, but she giggled a bit too dreamily than she would have preferred. "Why are you guys shirtless?"

Star looked confused. "Ni, it's super hot outside. This is the only spot with a draft cool enough since the A/C went out. So we're sitting here to cool off." He glanced at Diamond. "I have no idea why he's shirtless."

She nodded a little.

"Are you... okay?" Diamond asked.

She realized she had been standing by the door for a bit too long for it to not be weird and at some point had subsequently dropped her purse.

"Yeah! Yeah I'm totally fine just..." She turned her head off to the side and coughed. "T-tired?"

Stars worried expression evened out into a smirk. "That sounded more like a question. Come here, I want to kiss you."

She shuffled over, embarrassment heating her face.

Star kissed her for a moment too short and she pouted a little. Diamond kissed her for longer and she felt Stars cold stare against her cheek.

She pulled away. "Don't start."

Star grumbled and crossed his arms. "One upping little–"

"Don't hate the player."

Connie snorted and sat on the floor in front of the couch. "You two are ridiculous."

It was a rather agonizing day with the heat, but Star suggested cookie cats for a treat and that's what they did.
