Smart Ass

Sometimes, every once in a blue moon, Diamond would say something completely out of pocket.

He definitely still had some of Stevens charm, but with that came his awkwardness that mostly canceled it out. But sometimes it burst out of him and every time, Connie could not function past a giggle or surprise.

Today's incident was fairly normal, she was walking around cleaning the house while Star snored softly in the bedroom. Guests were coming over tomorrow, but that wasn't why she was cleaning. She liked to clean, an orderly house fed the mental health and so the house was truly never messy enough for her to really get down on her knees and scrub, but she adjusted and dusted and swept any how.

A bang and an immediate sharp breath full of unadulterated pain. "Ouch!"

Diamond looked up from the table, he had been thinking about nothing when it happened. "What's the matter?"

"I banged my toe. The pain will go away," She had comforted through a tight voice and a wince.

"I'm pretty sure I've fucked you way harder than that and there was no complaint."

The pain was violently shoved aside by intense embarrassment and shock as her eyes slowly rose to meet his. "I can't believe you just said that."

He stood and went over, pressing a kiss to her agape lips. "It's the truth."

He walked by her and into Roses room to do whatever he did when he went in there, meditate maybe, and left Connie an absolute mess.

She stared down at her toe, now slightly ashine with the swelling that came with stubbed toes.

The sound of the door sounded faintly in the background of her reeling mind as she was picked up and brought to the couch. "Fucking hell and these stupid human urges. Bend over."
