"Come onnnnnn! Please?" They gave Diamond their best puppy dog eyes.

"No."

"But it's SO much fun! You're missing out~!" Connie pointed up. "The drop is almost 200 feet, you're going to love it!"

"It's like when we float, but it gives us dopamine and stuff instead of us grabbing for it. Free happiness." Star added, hooking an arm around an unmovable Diamonds neck.

"Isn't it dangerous?" He shoved him off and stared up at it. "You could die if it malfunctions."

"That's half the fun!" They chorused.

He sighed and let them beg for a few more minutes. Secretly he was trying not to smile. If it wasn't one thing it was another with these two. "If I go will you shut up?"

"No."

"Probably not."

He lolled his head. "Couldn't I just pick you up and–,"

"Diamonnnnd!" They wailed in perfect harmony. Star giggled and pointed that out with his sharp ears for music.

So now here he was, exactly 189 feet above the ground with his Connie and his Stars arms raised while he stared on disinterestedly.

Slowly, slowly it inched forwards until their front car was dangling over precariously.

"Here it comes!" Star squealed.

It dropped and they gasped loudly when the air was knocked out of them. Connie shrieked in joy and whooped the entire way down while Star managed to nudge Diamond through the purest laughter he'd ever heard. Sighing, he raised his arms just as they reached the end and shot around the course at far slower than light speed than it had advertised.

It was relatively boring, and even a little primitive. But he still had a tiny smile when they reached the end.

Connie's hair was an absolute disaster as she tried to finger it off of her face and out of her mouth. Star was giggling profusely with joyous shouts of "Again!" and Connie agreeing wholeheartedly.

They shot him puppy dog eyes again as soon as they made it all the way out and near the line again, but Diamond held up his hand. "Don't give me that. I'll go with you again," He grumbled.

"Wait really?" Connie jumped up and down, an adorable bounce of excitement that made it difficult not to grin like an idiot at. "I knew you'd like it! I knew it!"

"Gotta protect my humans. We're important people."

Star slid over to Diamond and poked his cheek. "Nuh-Uh~ it's cause you love us!"

Diamond scowled and smacked the finger away. "I'm just protecting you guys. It's not about love."

His mistake was quickly made known when Star called him a liar, liar, pants on fire and Connie poked out her lip.

"Really? That's it? Sad."

Diamond clutched at the air and groaned. These two were insufferable. "Fine! It's because I like seeing you happy! Stars, you guys are fucking annoying!" His stupid face gave just how much he loved them away with a heavy blush and a glare as they seemed to forget they weren't at home and singsonged at him.

"Diamond loves us, Diamond loves us!"

"Get in line before I change my mind."
