Logos-

Diamond is logical. It's the way he's been since the day he first unfused from Star.

When things call for a solution, he more often than not provides it.

Like now for example, when Star and Connie are screaming about a bat that had gotten inside.

"Oh my stars, it touched me!" Star screeched and brushed himself off repeatedly. "Can you get rabies from being touched by a bat?"

"How did it get in here?! Did we leave something open?!" Connie was crouched low on the floor as it squeaked and smashed against things. It would knock things over and she'd rocket forward to catch it.

"Don't let it in Roses Room!" It was headed that way and the door was just shutting as Diamond walked out to see them both acting like complete fools.

He watched it flutter and charge around blindly for a few seconds. It was very small, he could easily kill it. But that was not what they would want.

He opened the front door and it made its way toward it. It flew out with another squeak and Diamond shut and locked it.

He turned back to the two as they slowly pushed themselves to standing.

"That's what we were going to do anyways." Connie's hair was a mess.

"We could've done it without your help...." Stars was too, and his shirt was nearly completely twisted around.

Diamond sighed. "I believe you."

Ethos-

Connie had always been driven by ethicality and doing the right thing.

She knew she should study for longer. It was never too soon to start cramming for the next final or midterm.

But her eyes drifted to her boyfriends standing in front of her. They wanted a snuggle puddle, and her attention.

She was sure it'd be smarter to study for longer. As much as she hated to, she loved it. There was seldom a day when she didn't try to hit the three hour mark and she had just barely started.

Sighing, she shut her book, grabbing their hands and leading them to bed.

"15 minute snuggle puddle every hour, on the hour. The rest of the time is mine to study."

It was hard because she'd rather cuddle forever, but it was compromise.

And it was the right thing to do.

Pathos-

Star was emotion at its best and worst. It wasn't as chaotic as Steven with his powers reacting to his emotion, but it always made for an interesting day.

Above anything else, Star was wildly passionate and always borderline dead of touch starvation. One could tie that to all the headpats and hugs he used to get as a kid, but whatever had caused his affinity to touch to show passion was nearly always at full power.

Currently, Star was pining for Connie's attention by rather heatedly pressing kisses to her neck. "I missed you," He mumbled against the skin of her neck.

"I-I was in the shower, Staaa– oh~," She trailed off and tipped her neck for more access.

"See? You missed me too." His hands trailed down her shoulders and dropped to her waist. He chuckled when she tensed her tummy. "You're so cute."

"Is there s-something you need?"

He nodded but continued his assault wordlessly, now nipping under her ear where he knew he'd get a reaction.

"Star!" She yelped. "Are you trying to–,"

"Can we get a dog?"

She gawked at him, it was almost all she could do to respond. "All that to ask me if we could get a dog."

Instantly his phone was out and shoved in her face. "I want a St. Bernard SOOOO badly, Ni! Look how big it is! It's like Lion but we train it not to low key hate me and Steven! And it'll be heavy and snuggle me during panic attacks and–," He dropped the phone carelessly and lifted her to eye level. "Our babies can ride on it! An entire dog our toddler can ride on top of until they're big enough to ride Lion! And, and it will be the sweetest dog cause they are so so nice!"

Connie tried to follow his ramble but found herself watching the way his eyes were starry and more thrilled than she'd seen him in a long time. She gripped his cheeks and squeezed. "Star. Slow down. Emotions speak faster than the human mind can process."

He set her down and took a deep breath. "I want crepes."

"On it." Diamond ceased his slight laughter and headed for the kitchen. But not before pecking Connie on the cheek. "Think about it."
