Star hates his body. It's not body image, he's been told time and time again that he is handsome, and he wouldn't really care if he wasn't.

Sometimes it's overwhelming to the point that he vomits, not on purpose either.

It's not the way it looks, it's the way it feels. Heavy. Exhausted. Full to brimming with unfiltered emotions he can hardly comprehend before they come burst out in a flurry of tears and yelling.

He hates being himself, and he hates being part of Steven and he hates that he isn't Steven. He hates Diamond too, he hates everything about what makes him broken and what makes him whole.

"We should buy you two suits." Connie was running her hands down both of their chests, peering up at them mischievously.

Diamond quirked a brow, something he had picked up on that he knew meant confusion. "Why?"

"Businessmen are hot." She smirked.

"What, you don't think I'm hot already?" He asked tipping his head.

Star was giggling at Connie's flustered attempt to backtrack and rephrase but it was no use.

He scooped her up in his arms, inches off the floor. "She doesn't think we're hot! The audacity! The anguish I feel in my soul is crushing! Isn't it, Diamond?"

"Completely and entirely." He said sounding anything but. He did smile a bit though.

"No! That's not what I was saying! I'm just saying I think you guys would look great in suits!" She kicked her legs and Star set her down as gently as possible.

He and Diamond fused and Steven grabbed her for a kiss. "How about now?"

She hummed the last of her chuckles and blushed. "Of course."

He hated himself a bit less in that moment.
