Maybe she was a bit evil.
Charlie couldn't help it, though. Anyone would have laughed in this situation, looking at the almost thirty years old man who looked like he had never even held a child, let alone being bullied by one because he had accidentally said the word nap.
That was the wrong thing to say because as soon as Aurora heard it, she knew what would happen and tried her best to scream and shout and run away and make a scene to stop it from happening. Even at eighteen months, she always put up one hell of a fight before sleeping.
Because Charlie had learned the trigger word already after months and months, she should have warned him that she was smart enough to know what certain words meant already.
But she hadn't done that but it wasn't because it happened so fast while she was still recovering from the shock of Fabian carrying Aurora but also because well, maybe she had wanted to bully him a little bit.
It was what he deserved for saying that he pitied her. Yes, they had talked about that and it was all good but it didn't stop her from enjoying the revenge that Aurora got for her.
"Give her to me," Charlie said, still chuckling before trying to take her screaming daughter in her arms. Fabian stopped her with a shake of the head, though, before walking to the living room, still carrying her screaming toddler as if she were a ticking bomb.
It was a miracle that he hadn't run away yet because she couldn't imagine him enjoying being Aurora's punching bag too much. Or children in general. But then again, she was still learning to get to know him better so she shouldn't judge him or assume things yet.
"You, little missy, have a big voice which can be good on some days when you need help. That's not today. I'm not gonna do anything to hurt you and your Mama most certainly wouldn't either. So, just... shut up." That's when Fabian looked at her apologetically as if telling Aurora to stop screaming like a maniac was the wrong thing to do.
God, he could be so sweet, thoughtful, and just very considerate sometimes. She was still trying to remember that he had this kind side too instead of just the one where he glared at everyone with hate.
Watching as Fabian put Aurora on the couch before sitting next to her and just being there together in silence made Charlie want to run across the room and kiss him. Not like her daughter did, though, but different with more passion.
But she knew that he loved another woman which was why she knew that she could never do anything even if the sight of them together made her very horny suddenly.
After all, it had been almost eight months since she had had sex and although she couldn't imagine having sex with anyone being this pregnant or anyone wanting to do it with her, Charlie was still only a woman. No one could resist the sight of a handsome, grumpy man with a child.
It only took a few seconds until Aurora got tired of sitting by herself before going to sit in Fabian's lap. While looking almost uncomfortable and awkward, he didn't move her away. Instead, he put both of his hands on the other side of her to prevent her from falling.
"What do I do now?" Fabian whispered, looking at her wide eyes. Chuckling, Charlie didn't bother answering or saving his ass from the dangerous eighteen months old. Instead, she went to sit next to them, not being able to take her eyes off whatever was going on.
"Plinsess!" Aurora commanded, pointing at the television.
Immediately getting the hint, Charlie smirked and raised eyebrows at the poor man who had no idea where he had gotten himself into. She couldn't imagine that he would be running back anytime soon after this.
