Unlike Fabian and Charlie had planned, they couldn't talk on the next day because of an emergency at the California Murphy Hotel which took most of his time. When he was free to leave, it was already too late because it was time to put the girls to sleep.

After that, she was too tired to meet because she had been almost half-asleep when she had answered the call yesterday. So he had just told her goodnight and to sleep well before going home to do the same.

It was much needed because it had been a while since he had worked almost thirteen hours a day and he was exhausted too. For some reason, he had cut his hours quite lot lately and hadn't worked from the early morning to the late evening anymore. Now he had other priorities in his life.

Although, maybe it was for the best that they hadn't talked yesterday because he still couldn't recall what happened yesterday. He could remember calling her to apologize and Asher having the time of his life listening but after that came nothing.

But he did know that when his work phone started to ring at 6.45am today, he had almost thrown the damn thing out of the window. After trying to get up, he immediately threw up to the floor and felt the headache almost killing him.

That had been his first hangover in years and he was already regretting it. How Asher did this so often, he had no idea, but he seemed to be pretty energetic when they talked on the phone in the morning.

Now was time to talk face to face and apologize to Charlie although he still wasn't sure if he had any reason to do so. He had only helped her, hadn't he? But he understood women well enough to know that sometimes it was just easier to apologize and admit that you were wrong to avoid drama.

Besides, he had done something that had hurt her feelings which meant that despite his own opinion, it was time to apologize. He never wanted to make her feel bad even when he thought that he had done something good and helpful.

And since she seemed to be just as stubborn as he was, someone had to make the first move and apologize to move on from what was a very unnecessary fight. That was why he had even gone to the flower shop and bought her a bouquet.

Before ringing her buzzer of the apartment, Fabian took a deep breath and promised himself not to demand an apology from her even though he would want one. He still didn't appreciate the way she had reacted, yelling and throwing him out, after finding out how he had paid for the bills.

"Hey!" Charlie grinned. She was wearing blue boyfriend jeans, a black belt, and lilac collared shirt with flowers tucked in them. Her hair was in a short ponytail that looked like its purpose was just to keep her hair away from her eyes.

Seeing her holding Juliet in her arms, he couldn't help but steal the baby, cuddling her close to him. "Hey, sweetheart! You've grown a lot and you're so pretty!" he whispered, talking with the baby voice he had always hated hearing from other people.

While she didn't hear what he said, Juliet was looking up at him and smiled wide, kicking her legs. The thought of her not only remembering Fabian but also getting excited about him made his heart grow twice its size and he almost teared up.

It couldn't be possible how much he already loved this tiny human being and how protective he was of her, of all three girls, but it couldn't be denied anymore.

Fabian loved her and Aurora. Loved in a way where he knew for certain that he would both die and kill for them in a heartbeat without a doubt.

What about Charlie, though? That was a much harder question but he knew that there were some deep feelings. Hell, even now he felt like kissing her deeply and never letting go. She had been on his mind almost nonstop for the past six months or so. God only knew what that meant.
