Over the next few days, more people visited them such as her grandparents, Viviana, Ramona and Joaquin and surprisingly even Fabian's friends Noelle and Diego.

The fact that so many people cared about Juliet felt almost overwhelming because not that long time ago Charlie had felt like the most lonely person in the world. But now she had people and more importantly, her children had people who they could count on. At least, she hoped so.

That only proved how little they needed Mason. Speaking of him, she had almost called him a couple of times since giving birth only to tell him the news about the birth of their daughter. Luckily, each time she got to her senses and realized that there was no reason for him to know anything about Juliet.

Hell, he wasn't even on the birth certificate! She had left the father part of that empty because as far as she was concerned, she didn't have a Dad. Mason clearly wasn't interested in becoming one. The fact that they hadn't heard a word from him since she told him about the pregnancy about seven months ago spoke volumes.

But she knew that eventually, they would have to have one important conversation at least once. He wasn't Juliet's father in any way but blood but unfortunately, he was still Aurora's father by law and she even had his last name. That would only remind her of his absence when she was older.

Since he was more interested in partying and doing god knows what, terminating his parental right shouldn't be a challenge. And she wanted to get it done as soon as possible because the sooner he was really out of their lives, the better.

Aurora deserved to be Idler too.

Since she was feeling better already, she was cleared to go home by the doctor which meant that unfortunately, she couldn't sleep at the hospital anymore. That meant that she would have to drive there every morning and leave every evening when the visitor hours ended, leaving her babygirl all alone there to fight.

Spending every second, minute, and hour at the hospital sounded ideal but not realistic. She had Aurora to take care of and while she could be at the daycare, she needed her Mom too. She couldn't just forget her firstborn after Juliet was born.

So during the first week of being at home, Charlie still brought Aurora to the daycare to be with her friends, and spent the day at the hospital before driving back to daycare to bring Aurora home.

Unfortunately, her body hadn't recovered as well as her mind and she noticed how tired she got. That was why she spent an hour or two to just sleeping and relaxing.

Usually, she wasn't one to just sleep during the day but since there wasn't any work or a child to take care of, she permitted herself to take it easy for a while. But not a lot. Most of her time was still spent at the hospital with Juliet who had grown up every day. It felt like she got prettier and prettier each time she saw her.

She was now six days old and although she had grown up and gotten her food and medication, Charlie still hadn't held her in her arms. She had never got up from the bed where she was connected to the ventilator.

Juliet was still small and underweight and couldn't breathe on her own but according to the nurses, she was getting better every day. Although, they did warn her that it might take weeks until she was ready to breathe on her own which sounded like a nightmare for Charlie.

But if that was what it took for her to get home healthy, then it had to be done. There were hearing tests done at the hospital and they had confirmed what everyone knew already: her child had a lot of troubles hearing even the loudest noises. The degree of her hearing loss was ranged complete which was the worst result.

Her poor child was born deaf because Charlie couldn't take care of her well enough. Now she would have to start using hearing aids or and possibly even learn sign language growing up if the hearing was still nearly impossible.
