The change was noticeable because suddenly, out of the blue, she stopped smiling and was unable to look at him in the eyes. What had made that change in that behavior, he didn't know, but Fabian hoped that she would start eventually talking.

Trying his best to remember the small distance between them but just for a second, he wondered what would have happened if he moved just a little bit to the right so that their legs were touching. Would he be able to smell her more?

Because it was lovely. It was very fresh and natural and yet there was some kind of sweet smell on her. Was it strawberry? Was it from a shampoo or perfume? He had already opened his mouth to ask the most ridiculous question but quickly closed it before Charlie would look at him as if he had lost his mind.

Well, it was too late for that. The more he spent time with this strange, beautiful, and the most selfless woman in the world, the more he wanted to do other things than smell her hair. And he had felt so fucking guilty as soon as that thought had crossed his mind because how could he think this way about someone else but Nora?

Yes, maybe their relationship and future marriage were planned by their parents but he was still with her and she deserved to be treated that way. The fact that he had even thought about another woman and... doing things with her was wrong!

Just a week ago Charlie was just, well, Charlie, and there hadn't been any strange thoughts or feelings about her but lately, it had started to change.

Perhaps that was because he had also gotten to know her better and realized that she was, in fact, pretty damn amazing. Nothing as he had first assumed. But she was still so very young and he would probably go to jail if he ever tried anything with her.

She's twenty-three, not thirteen!

It's still wrong.

Plus, she's pregnant.

And there's Aurora to think about.

Remember Nora!

Jeez, when did his life become a romantic drama movie? He had never wanted anything else but to have a relaxing, drama-free life so how the hell he had gotten here, trying to force himself to forget about another woman?

Next week's business trip couldn't come early enough. The plan was to just stay in Brazil for just a week, maybe even less if everything went as planned, but with how his life had been lately and all this drama with women Fabian could stay a little longer.

Maybe a month, maybe even a few. Six months, a year or two. However long he needed to forget all about these stupid feelings about Charlie. Because he wasn't like this. He didn't get in a relationship with one woman and start planning their wedding and future together while thinking of what another woman's lips felt like.

That was usually Asher, not him. But then again, Asher never cheated anyone. He just broke it off after a month or so because he got bored and couldn't commit to one woman only. Fabian was different because he had always been committed to Nora and would always be.

Always.

What a funny word.

Were they expecting him to stay married to her always? If yes, would he be able to do that? Fuck, he really should have asked for more... rules when they had asked, no, more like commanded him to propose to Nora. For example, how long until they could get a divorce? At least they had all agreed to a prenup.

"You're okay?" Blinking, Fabian looked up only to see Charlie staring at him with a huge frown on her forehead, looking almost worried.

"Yeah," he faked a smile. "You?"
