The man’s eyes widened in fear. Seeing the terror in his eyes Raven smirked, he liked it.
He poked the open wound with the spikes in the bat, “So, willing to speak now, Oliver?”
The man gritted his teeth in pain, “Even if I die I won't tell you, Hunter”.
Raven hummed and stared straight at his eyes, “Death is an easy choice, don't you think?”
He stood straight and signalled to the nearby guard, upon receiving the orders, he held the tablet in his hand and showed the video to Oliver.
A woman and a small boy whose limbs are bound to the chair in a dark room as they sobbed uncontrollably. Two men in black stood at the side and held a small stout glass bottle in their hands. Inside it a small brown snake coiled up and hissed constantly.
Oliver’s eyes widened seeing his wife and son.
“You bastard leave them”, he shouted at the top of his lungs. His already torn cheeks started to bleed more and due to his dry throat he started to cough.
“Relax Oliver, I haven't started yet. Do you see the small snake over there? It is a Dwarf Adder, small and cute right” Raven smiled at him but his eyes showed another story.
Brandon, who has been enjoying the scene all this time exclaimed, “Awww.. that’s my baby Sara, I wonder where she had gone for two days?”
Raven ignored him and focused on the man before him and asked patiently, “Now tell me, To which rat you sold the information to?”
“No, I won't, not even in your dreams” he spat angrily.
Raven narrowed his eyes, “You left me with no choice”, he glanced at the side, without his words the guards called the men and ordered them to release the snake.
“No..No what are you doing?, please leave them” he begged him.
“I will when you are willing to speak, no rush take your time”
Oliver remained silent, his anxious eyes focused on the video where the little brown snake came out of the bottle and slithered slowly towards the two people who were tied up in the chair.
Seeing the snake coming towards him, the little boy cried loudly, “Mommy it's coming, help!”
The woman begged at the men standing near them, “Please leave us, please” tears rolled down her face.
Little Sara climbed the boy’s shoe and slithered its way towards his neck, feeling the rough scales and slithering motion of the snake on his body the boy was terrified and wailed loudly,
“Daddy..daddy help me”
Oliver panicked and yelled at them, “Stop that. I will… I will tell you. Please stop that”
“Hm…That's a good boy” with the flip of his hand the guards bowed and ordered their men to retrieve the snake from the boy’s body.
“It was Antonio. I gave the details of goods and export routes to them. He wants to sabotage your successful union with the Northern border. He is planning to gain their trust by selling your goods in his own name. If I am right, Antonio’s gang members should have already ambushed your ship and snatched the goods and even crossed the border already” after he finished he laughed. His laughter echoed through the empty walls of the base.
“Hmm. That was a good plan, but do you think I am a fool? Why would I choose the sea when a safe way to the Northern border is sky?” Raven calmly looked at him. Seeing the confused gaze of the man, he slides the tablet and shows the current trending news in the channel.
“The secretary of Defence, William Cornell flies on his private AF-V to the Northern Border army camp to meet with the Field Marshal and discuss peace on the border. The agenda…”
Raven paused the broadcast and handed the tablet to his subordinate.
Oliver looked at him with shock in his eyes, this man’s influence was unbelievable. Never in his wildest dream did he guess that he would plant his own men in high ranking positions in politics, before he could utter a word a loud bang resonated inside the basement.
“Meet you in hell Oliver” Raven put the gun in his waistband and adjusted his suit.
Brandon let out a long sigh, “Poor rat, walking straight into the cat’s mouth” he patted the dead man. A big hole was seen in his chest near the heart and blood seeping out of it.
“What are we going to do?” he questioned Raven.
Raven lifted the corner of his mouth, his green malevolent eyes stared at the corpse before him and replied, “Deliver the goods to Antonio”
