CHAPTER 9: Knight in night

Siren kicked the man on his chest. He was sent flying away and landed on his butt.

Seeing this, other men were surprised. Rage filled their minds seeing one of them get beaten by a girl.

They attacked her at the same time, yet Siren stood there calmly letting them approach her. When they reached near her, one of them tried to hit her but Siren slapped his hand, the hit landed straight on his cheeks.

She kicked the other man on his face leaving behind the dark boot prints. The bulky man from the group held her from behind. Siren tried to free from his hold but he was too strong for her. She bumped his face with the back of her head. The man loosened his grip as he backed away.

He felt something drip from his nose. He touched his nose only to find a pool of blood.

The enraged bulky approached Siren from behind who was currently fighting with two other men.

On seeing this the girl from the bar who had been standing at the sideline and marvelled at the fighting skills of Siren turned alert.

The bulky felt something hard hit the back of his head. He turned around to see the girl who they had chased standing at the sideline with one of her shoes missing from her legs.

"How dare you? You bitch, let me teach you a lesson ", Bulky yelled and ran towards the girl.

The girl closed her eyes tightly and stood rooted in her place. But before the man could reach her, a strong kick landed on the side of his face. Blood spattered from his mouth due to the strong blow. He landed on the ground with a loud thud.

After a few seconds the girl opened her eyes. She saw all the men who had chased her were beaten black and blue. Her eyes roamed for the possible sight of the girl in electric blue eyes who came like her knight in night. But no trace was seen. She vanished like a thin air just like how she appeared before her.

When she heard one of the drunkards grunt in pain,her eyes widened. She hastily bolted from the place, thanking her saving grace in her heart.

No one in the place had noticed the black car standing at the sideline, merging itself in the darkness of the night. The person inside the car watched all these occurrences. The green eyes of that person glow with amusement, he smirked and muttered,

"Interesting"

Even in the darkness of night there lies the place at the deep end of the city, painted with red light. Men and Women of elite society who were wolves clothed in demure sheep clothing seated around the table wearing the mask covering their eyes.

Sometimes the enormous wealth and power makes them do insane things.

One of the members around the table who seemed to be a woman in late forties lifted her chin in a proud manner and grinned victoriously as she placed the last card on the table.

"As expected from Ms. Silver", a man named Carlos who was sitting near her clapped and praised her.

The other men around the table groaned and pulled their hair in frustration.This is the fifth game they lost in the battle of decks to this woman. This is not new though. The people around the table are familiar with each other at the same time they are not.

All they knew was their fake identity used in this place.

"Carlos darling, why don't you bring me a glass of wine", Ms. Silver ordered Carlos in a sweet voice.

Carlos, who was wearing a brown mask, burned with anger yet he revealed a polite smile to the lady and stood up from the chair to get the wine she asked for.

He went directly to the bar counter and gave his order. He took the seat near the counter and looked towards the place where he came from. A fair boy in his early twenties who was wearing a leather strap around his neck and black skinny pant kneeling in front of Ms. Silver and licking her feet.

He gritted his teeth on seeing this. He didn't pity the boy on her knees, in contrast he envied that woman who has that power. He came out of the daze when he heard a voice.

"Hey hottie, care for a shot".
