Meanwhile, back on the dark elves' ship, Malekith was resting as his warriors approached him.

Malekith: We must strike now.

Velvet: *concerned* Do you think they know that the Aether isn't on Asgard anymore?

Coco: They have to. They knew it was moved the first time and brought to Asgard, there's NO WAY they don't know it was moved again.

Weiss: Is it ever explained how they always know where the Aether is. And how they only woke up when someone found it?

Penny: I don't like relying on such an unscientific answer or suggestion, but in this case my only theory is... magic.

One of the elves then reached out to their leader, before he smacked their hand away.

Malekith: No. Asgard is meaningless.

Sensing the all too familiar presence of their weapon, he sat up, and turned to his warrior, his right side shown, completely burned to a crisp.

Malekith: The Aether has found its way home.

Ruby: It's not fair that they somehow know wherever the Aether is at any point in time. *pouts*

Glynda: It makes sense, though. As Penny stated, Malekith must have some form of magical connection to it that allows him to pinpoint the position. Just like how in that same manner, the Grimm are somehow drawn towards the relic. It is literally programmed into them on an instinctual level.

Neo: Still cheating.

Ozpin: Well, the villains often have the upper hand in these stories or situations, Ms. Politan. However, advantages can be overcome with the proper determination and planning.

Back with the brothers, the 2 were flying relatively low over the strange elven world, Thor doing his best to comfort Jane as he draped a blanket over her. Loki sighed at the display.

Loki: What I could do with the power that flows through those veins.

Nora: *annoyed* Why is Uncle Loki still obsessed with getting power?

Ren: Perhaps he's still suffering some after-effects from the scepter. I believe Gian did mention prolonged exposure led to madness.

Cinder: Not just that. Loki's had a good taste of power twice now. Once while ruling Asgard, however briefly, while having an existential crisis, but then again after he got the scepter and nearly conquered Earth. Sometimes when someone has a tase of power, they just want more. *remorseful* Trust me, it's a feeling I know ALL too well.

Ruby comforted her by rubbing her back, but surprisingly, Cinder also found Pyrrha's hand on her shoulder.

Pyrrha: *hopeful* But you grew from your mistakes and learned, Cinder. Maybe Loki can, too.

Thor: It would consume you. *sits at opposite end of ship*

Loki: *glances at Jane* She's holding up alright... For now.

Thor: She's strong in ways you'd never even know.

All this earned him from Loki was an eye roll.

Loki: Say goodbye.

Thor: Not this day.

Loki: This day, the next, a hundred years, it's nothing. *sat up, approaches Thor* Its a heartbeat. You'll never be ready. The only woman whose love you've prized will be snatched from.
