5 - Godly Obstacles (The Avengers)

The Quinjet was returning back to the Helicarrier, flying over the countryside and some mountains in the dead of night. Natasha was flying the craft back and speaking to Nick Fury over the radio.

Fury: He saying anything?

Nat: Not a word.

Fury: Just get him here. We're low on time.

Tony and Steve stood close to the cockpit and watched Loki closely, who was sitting at the back of the craft with his hands bound.

Steve: I don't like it.

Emerald: *nods* Good. They're onto him, too.

Winter: I wonder how they plan on getting Loki to talk once they get him to the Helicarrier? I doubt they'll be able to resort to torture without endangering any agents close to him. And if they have some form of truth serum, it may not work given Loki's biology is likely very different from anything they used it on.

Blake: And I doubt Loki will just spill his secrets.

Gian: All I can tell you is that you'll be quite surprised.

Tony: What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily?

Steve: I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop.

Tony: Still, you are pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?

Gian: It's a type of fitness system called 'Contrology' by the man who created it. It usually consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance.

Coco: Oh, so another workout.

Jack: Yeah, but it's VERY popular and quite effective from what I hear.

Yang: Well, I'm sure Steve would probably be great at them. He'd probably nail any workout he tried. Except maybe Nora's.

The other students all groaned at this, even the villains, all of them having been roped into working out with Nora at least once.

Nora: What, no way! He could do that all day!

Jaune: Ooh, good callback.

Steve: What?

Tony: It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple things, you know, doing time as a Capsicle.

Steve looked at Tony, finally meeting his ego match.

Weiss: *groans* And here it is. The clash of the egos.

She and Jaune both looked down at this.

Jaune: We were pretty bad when we got to Beacon, weren't we?

Pyrrha smiled and put her hand on his shoulder.

Pyrrha: But you both saw the error of your ways and learned from your mistakes. Now you're both well on your way to becoming a Huntsman and Huntress. And you're people I would gladly call my leader and friend.

Qrow: Still, this ought to be fun to watch. *summons popcorn*

Steve: Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in.

Tony: Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you.

Ozpin: Some information is best to be withheld for the good of the people.
