Chapter 23 - Luna ceramony

Esme's POV

2 weeks have flown by really fast. I've gone from a size 2 pair of jeans to finally fitting perfectly in a size 4 - 6, me and Finley often shift at night or early in the morning and go for a run which is great. We've both been with our mates a lot of the time so this is our time to spend together.

Tonight is my Luna ceremony and I can't wait!! I've started to get a little better with going out on my own and I have now started talking with people. When Jaxon said they all love me already I didn't believe him. But after seeing everyone and talking with them or messing with kids outside and pushing them on swings or going to play hide and seek I notice that I have started to grow a soft spot for everyone here. And I can't wait to be their Luna. I have been attending class for the last 2 weeks just to get used to doing it and I have already learned so much. I will continue my Luna classes for a while and have guidance from Robyn who is happy to show me the things I need to do, the duties I will have towards the pack and the duty of care I hold against everyone here and also Jaxon.

"You ready for tonight sis," Finn asks me. We're out on a run so I can blow off steam and Alana is prancing around in mud...while Dom who is Finn's wolf is making me howl with laughter by prancing around and jumping over me.

I try to stop my laughter but it's hard. Especially when he just won't stop. "Yeah, I'm ready. I think I'm more nervous about the fact that there's going to be about 800 people there. But we will get through it. I want to ask if you could walk me down?"

"I'll be honoured," he says proudly.

We're still messing around when we hear a few cars pull into the compound. We both look at each other and are stilled to our spot when we see who steps out of the car. It's our mother, father and sister here alongside Alpha Dylan, Adeline and some members of the Waterside pack.

"Let's get out of here Finn says"

I'm quick to agree and we both pick up our clothes with our mouths and head further into the woods.

"Baby we're are you"

'I just came for a run with Finn as tonight's busy baby. Why are you okay?'

"Yeah, it's 3:30 you know that don't you? Mom is asking if you want a cup of tea before the guys get here to do your hair and makeup and oh your dress has arrived"

'Okay, I won't be too long. Got to try and find a way in without My mother noticing us first'

' Come to the back I'll get Charlie and Hunter to meet you so they don't see either of you. Be safe

I close the link and continue getting dressed. I tell Finn we have to go around the back of the pack house so we can go in without getting seen.

A few hours later I check the time and notice that it is indeed time to go,

It's already 7 pm and my hair and make-up has just been done and it looks absolutely amazing...Not too much but enough for me, and my hair is curled with it half up and half down and some strands in front of my face.

"Time to get dressed now sweetheart" Robyn's voice says to me as she steps into my room. "Oh, my goddess... you look absolutely beautiful!!"

"Thank you, Robyn!! Has Jaxon seen the dress?" I ask with a bit of a disappointed expression on my face.

"No, he hasn't. It was a clear instruction from his father that if he looks at it he will have no paws left to do anything else" she says while laughing.

"You look beautiful Robyn! I'm so glad you're there with me tonight I'm really scared"

I hear a knock on my door and I know for a fact from the scent that it's my mate on the other side of the door.
