Chapter 61 - Wedding day

Esme's POV

Today is the day. Today is the day I marry Jaxon and I am so ready for it. I haven't thought about my past life and the rubbish life I have had, I only have eyes for the one man who I am so excited to be marrying today.

My name is Esme West, soon to be Esme Hayes. I never thought I would be standing here, in front of the pack church, about to marry the love of my life. But life has a funny way of surprising you.

We fell in love quickly and despite the horrible ways we began our journey this so far is the best journey I would not change, I mean okay, Yes I would change it slightly. I would change my past some how maybe tweak it a bit so I haven't got so much emotional baggage but I have two very beautiful and very healthy children who know that they're family loves them more than anything and they will forever know that feeling. We knew we were meant to be together. Jaxon's parents were never against our relationship, they wanted him to marry someone who made him smile, gave him meaning to life and happiness. They wanted him to be happy. Jaxon stood by me and we promised each other that we would fight for our love, no matter what the circumstances are and no matter what obstacles enter our life.

And today, we are finally getting married. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach as I stand in front of the pack church, wearing a beautiful white dress and holding a bouquet of red roses. My best friend and maid of honour, Naomi, is standing by my side, giving me encouraging smiles and words.

Everyone has gone inside and waiting so they have directed me to the outer rooms to get sorted and prepared when I hear someone open the door. Luca. He has a smile on his face and his eyes look like he can't wait to see how the day goes.

"Naomi, is there a chance I could have a word with my daughter please?"

"Of course Alpha.  You have 10 minutes before we usher her outside though"

"Understood" he said with a smile displaying his face.

"Hey, Is everything okay?" I ask nervously because why else would someone enter their daughters room if not to bring bad news. Oh goodness here I go.

"Everything is fine. I wanted a moment with you before you went and married the love of your life. You look absolutely beautiful today" he says with a smile...a proud smile if I am not mistaken.

I blush at his words and I can feel the smile on my face getting bigger. I walk on over to him, my dress trailing behind me and I give him a hug, A hug that I didn't know I needed until now. The tension melting away but the anxiety still lingering.

"Hey. You man out there is looking handsome as ever. I haven't known you long, I haven't given much thought to having any other children but here I am...Here we are, I am so thankful and proud that you have allowed me and the girls to be apart of your big day. It means so much to us all" he said. his hands holding my Infront of us and I know I am trying so hard not to cry right now because of my make up.

"Damn it...my makeup" I said while laughing and looking up. "I am glad your all here. I wish I had known you before hand. I am so glad we have this chance to do this now though. I...I want to have a bond with you like any father and daughter would have and I hope one day we would have that"

"Darling...we will. One day at a time okay. Let's focus on today and your wedding and lets get this show on the road." he says while kissing my cheek. Before long, Jacob walks into the room whistling like he usually does and then his gaze spots mine and his smile is as bright as anything. I look to Luca and he gets the message that the wedding is about to begin and makes his way outside.

"Wow...you look beautiful Esme. Absolutely beautiful and I am so proud to walk you down the Aisle. It's an absolute honour." He says as he kisses the back of my hand and puts his arm out.
