Chapter 78 : A New Life Introduction

Dear readers -

Rejected by one Alpha, Loved by another was the first book of this series. It was based on Esme and Jax's story, which was my first novel.

I will be going through the novel and re-editing it, finding common ground with names and places, which was a big part of what went wrong in the novel itself.

I really enjoyed writing it and I am happy to announce that the follow-up book - The Alpha's Skater Mate is based on Esme and Jax's daughter.

She is the oldest of the twins and is currently in college, doing her last year as a figure skater. She enjoys what she does and has never received her mate. She has also never attended the ball to see if she can find her true love.

When you met Esme, she was a battered and bruised soul, she protected her twin brother (Finn) who didn't know the extent of all her trauma.

Jaxon was her second chance mate who took care of her, made her feel at home and was very patient with her.

The novel lead with several POVs.

Jaxon and Esme are the main point of view but you would occasionally find that Finn, Jaxon's mother or father and a third base POV was appointed.

So I would like to introduce to you, Millie and Kai.

Millie is a 22-year-old Figure skater. She has been in college since she turned 18 and chose this lifestyle for herself.

She didn't want to feel like she had to rely on her mother and father all her life and with her older brother, Reggie taking over as Alpha a year ago, her father has been more protective than she likes to admit to being comfortable with. She adores her family and loves spending time with them. But that's also a big problem, She wants to breathe the fresh air and feel the warmth of the sun when she's walking about on campus with her friends and not under the constant protection of pack members.

Then in comes Kai. Kai is 27 and has never found his mate. He's had girlfriends, he's slept with other women just to cure that itch but he's never taken a chosen mate. While placing a treat with an old former pack of Esme's (Millie's mother) Kai takes matters into his own hands and tasks himself to research more of these Packs and why this particular one would need 7 protective and well-known groups to help them.

Upon the arrival of the annual gala for Unmated Mates, Kai sniffs her straight away. He tries to find her,  he busies himself by following her scent which leads to a double bedroom.

Nothing is out of place. Everything is where it should be. Accept, that this mystery woman is not there.

No photos of family members line the walls or dressers. The only things visible are some skates, outfits and so many clothes.

Throughout this follow-up Novel, you will find that Millie suffers from Anxiety disorder and has frequent panic attacks as she is bullied through college. She has friends but she keeps her circle small so to maintain a stable relationship with these people she has to separate herself from the real world of cruelty. A world she doesn't know much about until she meets Malachai (Kai for short) and he teaches her how to be the queen she is.

Warning:

If you have read Rejected by one Alpha, Loved by another then you will also know that it was shocking. Quite literally shocking. And I cannot wait to go throughout and correct so much! This Novel contains scenes some viewers may not like. For example, Talk of mental health, suicide, trust, feeling weak, stalking (From afar and never endangering anyone" and also sex scenes.

If this is not your cup of tea then please don't judge my writing or what comes with this territory. Or if you haven't Read the first Novel first then I'd suggest you wait a few weeks until I have updated the whole bloody thing and then get to it!
