Nothing but the truth

Getting to the man's house, Mrs Watson paid the cab man and got down from the cab. She raised her shoulders high and showed no emotion on her face as she walked towards the door and rang the doorbell. She stood there for some minutes and attempted to ring the doorbell again when the door opened, bringing Moon Do Sik's face to her view. The man was a bit surprised upon seeing Mrs Watson and he smiled and said "Mrs Watson. What are you doing here?". Moon Do Sik knew Mrs Watson because at the time Mr Watson worked at their company, he sometimes showed Moon Do Sik his wife's pictures, praising her beauty and how hardworking she was. That's how Moon Do Sik knew the woman. "Can I speak with you please" Mrs Watson said with a fake smile on her face. The man was puzzled as he didn't expect the woman to be here and now wanted to have a word with him. "Of course. Come in" Do Sik said as he lead her into the house and Mrs Watson took reluctant steps into the house as the fake smile she had on was now gone and her face showed no emotion. She planned to ask the man directly. Not willing to play any games. Do Sik lead her to sit in the living room as he went to get her coffee from the kitchen. Mrs Watson's eyes scanned the house of her suspect. Everything seemed normal. Do Sik wasn't married so there were no wedding pictures anywhere in the living room. Only pictures of himself and his mother.

The man came back and placed the coffee right in front of Mrs Watson. But she wasn't there for coffee, she needed answers and she wasn't planning on playing around. So she summoned every ounce of courage she had in her body and asked "Did you poison my husband?". Do Sik blinked a few times as he wasn't expecting a question like that. "I don't understand Mrs Watson. What do you mean?" He asked her. "Oh please with all due respect sir, drop the act. I know you were jealous of my husband and probably wanted him dead so you could take over his position in the company" Mrs Watson said glaring at the man.
Do Sik chuckled after hearing what she said and Mrs Watson wondered what was making this maniac chuckle. Do Sik was an unmarried man in his forties and was the closest person to Mr Watson at that time. If he's chuckling then he's probably the criminal right? She asked herself inwardly. "Mrs Watson, I think you've got it all wrong here" Do Sik said after his chuckling ended.
"Meaning?" Mrs Watson asked. "Now I'll come clean with you Mrs Watson. Yes I was jealous of your husband, I was jealous that he had a good and beautiful wife, I was jealous that he was one of the best in the company and I was jealous because everything always worked for him but the thought of poisoning him or killing him never came to mind. Though I thought of sabotaging him once, I didn't do it because he was a good friend to me. I don't repay good with evil Mrs Watson....." Do Sik paused. "So whoever told you that I poisoned him or wanted him dead, lied to you" he continued as he stood up and Mrs Watson stood up as well.

"I guess the questions you had on your mind is reason you came to see me Mrs Watson. Well, it's all good but I have to ask how is he?" Do Sik said referring to Mr Watson. He didn't believe the rumor that went around in the company that the man was dead so he decided to hear it from the wife herself.
Mrs Watson didn't know if she should tell him the truth or lie about it. After a while, she answered
"He's better" Mrs Watson said as she stared into the man's eyes to see if he was going to show a strange reaction to the news but the man seemed pleased with the news instead because he was smiling from ear to ear after hearing her reply.
Seeing that Mrs Watson was still a bit suspicious of him, he said "Listen, you don't need to worry about me. I have a high position in the company now and I also have a girlfriend and things are going my way recently so there's no need to be jealous of my friend Mr Watson anymore and there's no need for you to be afraid that I'll hurt him". Mrs Watson was a bit uncomfortable with his words because the more he said it, the more she felt that he really didn't do it and it was really confusing for her because ever since she worked with Skylar on her husband's case, Moon Do Sik was the only name Skylar provided and now he's claiming to be innocent and she didn't know what next to do. "Okay. Thank you for your time" Mrs Watson said as she made her way to the door with Do Sik alongside her.
"You can always come to me for questions regarding your husband and I'll tell you nothing but the truth" Do Sik said with a grin and Mrs Watson only nodded before going away.
