The car drive was quiet. In an uncomfortable way. Eva's mind was occupied with how she was going to ask him about her eyes and also, she was curious where this guy was taking her. On the other hand, Lee Ming's mind was full with questions whether or not she would like what he had planned for her.
Few minutes later, Lee Ming stopped the car in front of a restaurant. From the outside, it could be seen that this wasn't no ordinary restaurant. It was in a word "exquisite". It had golden chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. The chairs were made out of gold and the tables, made of glass. The restaurant had a soft music playing in the background. When Lee Ming and Eva entered, Eva was quite amazed. "It's pretty" she said. "Give me your hand" Lee Ming said as he stretched out his hand to her and she hesitantly took it. They both walked to a table Lee Ming had reserved for them. A waiter came up to them and said "A very pleasant morning to you Mister Ming. What should I get you and your fine lady?". "Just bring your best meal" Lee Ming said as he released a strikingly sexy smile at the waiter. "Sure" The waiter said as he smiled back and bowed before walking away.
"Ouuuuu..Eva. This is obviously a date!! Lee Ming took you on a date!" the little voice in her head said.
"Don't overthink this. It's just a kind gesture" Eva told herself.
"What are you thinking about?" Lee Ming asked staring at her. "Uhm... nothing" Eva said faking a smile. She wondered why this guy confuses her with his actions. Sometimes he's more than sweet then some other times, he's stoic and emotionless. But she already told herself that no matter how he treats her, she will try not to have any more feelings for him.
The waiter came back with their meal. "Here you go. Our best dish for our Mister Ming and his lady" the waiter said as he winked at Lee Ming before bowing and walking away. Eva really wanted to scream at the waiter and correct him that she wasn't Lee Ming's lady. She never properly agreed to being Lee's girlfriend. But she decided to just let the waiter go with that impression. Soon, they started eating and when they were done, they left the restaurant.
In the car...
"I have something to show you" Lee Ming said to Eva. "Okay.." Eva said as she looked outside the window. The fresh air danced on her face and it gave her a calming effect. She was more than relaxed. Few minutes later, she was asleep. Lee Ming was so focused on what he was planning to tell her the moment they get to their destination that he didn't even notice she was already asleep.
They arrived at a secluded area of City F. "Pezzo Sacro". The place was known to be scared and only open to some. It was said that that area only welcomed people it wanted. The place was so ethereal. It had the most beautiful flowers, rivers and houses. Legend has it that everything that resided in that area wasn't ordinary and was controlled by pure spirit beings. The name "Pezzo Sacro" meaning "Holy piece" was given to the place by an Italian man who was known to be the caretaker of the place. The man was in his 90's but still looked young. The tale of the place had it that he still looked young because the pure spirits always renewed his life and looks.
Lee Ming came down from the car and breathed in the pure and fresh air of Pezzo Sacro (Holy piece) and smiled knowing he made a right decision by bringing Eva here. The caretaker saw Lee Ming's car and walked up to him. "You are finally here Mister Ming" The man smiled as she shook Lee Ming. His eyes found Eva who was still sleeping in the car and said "She's beautiful and special". The man said and Lee Ming nodded in agreement. "Thank you for bringing her here and it has been really long since I saw you Lee" he continued. "Way too long" Lee Ming said as he hugged the man. This man is one of the closest people to the Ming family because before Lee Ming's mother incident happened, she always brought Lee Ming, Tae Ming and Hwang Lu here just for some time off from reality. It was a really special memory to Lee Ming but ever since his mother's incident, he has never stepped foot in Pezzo Sacro until today. That's why the caretaker was so happy that Lee Ming finally came. But not just with anyone but with a special someone.
