"pregnant....pregnant.." the word was on repeat in Lee Ming's head.
After a brief moment of silence, he questioned because he was still in doubt "My wife is pregnant?". "Yes sir. Two weeks pregnant" the doctor said. "It's a good news and also, your wife should avoid anything at that would stress her because things like that might affect the baby in a negative way" the doctor continued.

Lee Ming listened intently to the advice of the doctor. Meanwhile, Eva laid quietly on the hospital bed when a nurse walked in to check up on her and tell her the good news. After seeing the nurse, Eva quickly asked "I heard some of the nurses call my husband the boss? Does he own this hospital?". The nurse had already guessed Eva was Lee Ming's wife so she wasn't surprised that Eva just called him her husband. Instead, what surprised her was the fact that Eva didn't know her husband's father was the owner of the hospital. "Uhmm... ma'am, your father in law is the owner of this hospital" the nurse said smiling. "Ohh.." Eva said as she has never expected that Sir Ming would be the owner of the hospital. "Well, I guess that explains why they attended to me quickly at that time" Eva said inwardly as she remembered the time she was hit by Lee Ming's car and was brought to this exact hospital.  "So what's wrong with me?" She asked bringing her attention back to the situation at hand.

"Mrs Ming, there's nothing wrong with you. The doctor just asked me to share the good news to you" the nurse said smiling from ear to ear.
"What good news?" Eva questioned as she sat up on the bed. "You're pregnant!!" The nurse squealed.
Eva's eyes went wide the moment she heard that. "I'm...I'm pregnant?" She asked in a low tone. The nurse nodded her head, beaming with joy.
"Can I have a moment alone please?" Eva told the nurse.
"Of course ma'am. I'd be right outside your door if you need me" the nurse said as she joyfully walked away.

The moment the nurse was gone, Eva placed her hand on her stomach and rubbed it gently. "Mummy loves you already" she said with a sweet smile on her face.

That same moment, Lee Ming walked in and his eyes fell on Eva who was gently rubbing her belly. His feet felt glued to the ground for a moment as he watched her. He was going to be a father!. He was still in disbelief. He couldn't believe that some moments ago, he offered that she should leave him. He couldn't believe he wanted to send away the mother of his unborn child. He felt disappointed in himself. "Eva Watson..." He muttered as he walked closer to her. Finally noticing his presence, Eva raised her head and was about to stand up from the bed when Lee Ming stopped her "Eva, don't" he said.
He got to the bed and sat on the chair beside it.

"You already know right?" Eva said as she saw the different emotions swimming in Lee's eyes. He nodded and held her hand tightly to the extent that it was almost hurting but Eva didn't complain. This was his emotional moment so she was going to let him be. He kissed Eva's hand and said "Eva...". "Yes?" Eva answered.
"I'm sorry for asking you to leave earlier. I shouldn't have done that, I was confused and..." Lee Ming was stopped by Eva's hand on his lip. "Lee, It's okay." She said. "I won't ask you to leave ever again and please don't leave me. For real this time, don't!" Lee Ming pleaded. "I'll never leave you." Eva said and before she could utter another word, Lee Ming's lips was on hers. The kiss was gentle with no sign of naughtiness in it. Pulling away from the kiss, he rubbed her belly as if she was a baby chick or puppy who required all the attention in the world.

"Do you think it's going to be a girl or a boy?" Eva asked as she placed her hand on his which was still on her stomach.
"Hmmm ....I hope it's girl. She'll be an angel, just like you" Lee Ming said finally removing his hand from her stomach.
