Eva noticed how Giovanni's mood changed and wanted to ask why he was coughing weirdly but before she could, she heard a voice say to her "I'm a jerk now?". Eva jerked as she heard the familiar voice. The voice that came from a man that was now her husband. The sleep was now entirely gone from her eyes as she turned around and found Lee Ming walking towards her while Giovanni excused himself from their presence. "When did you arrive?" Eva said biting her lips as she stared at Lee Ming.
"I asked you first. I'm a jerk now?" Lee Ming said with his hands crossed as he stared down at her. "No no. I didn't mean that. It's just that I texted and called you a couple of times but you didn't pick up or call back or answered any of my texts." Eva said looking down. "I wanted to surprise you Eva" Lee Ming said as he held her head up to make her look at him. "Surprise me?" Eva asked in a low voice as she stared into his eyes that was boring into her soul. At that moment, she felt something surge through her entire body and she realized how much she had missed him. His scent, his eyes, his voice and those lips. With that, she remembered the night they had sex for the first time and her cheeks turned red instantly. She tried not to think of that night but she really missed everything about him. "What are you thinking about?" Lee Ming asked as he held her face in his palm still staring at her. He missed that cute small face. He missed that red tomato color on her face that shows up anytime she's blushing, doing or thinking about something naughty. He wanted to stay in that position for a while and admire her but he had more than enough time to do that because she was now his own. His Wife. "I'm not.... thinking about anything" Eva said and Lee Ming released his sweet smile and said "If you say so wifey". With that, Lee Ming walked out of the kitchen leaving his intoxicating scent to taunt Eva.

Eva let out a breath she didn't know she was holding the moment he left. She placed her hand on a her chest to feel her racing heart. "He wanted to surprise me? So I just got angry at him for nothing. I guess I have to apologise to him later" Eva said to herself. Yu Shao walked into the kitchen and said "I'm sorry I couldn't tell you quickly that he had arrived." "There's no problem. When did he arrive though and where was he before he came in here?" Eva asked. "He just arrived few minutes ago and he was in the living room before he came here. You were kinda loud with what you said earlier, all of us heard it. I'm sure that's why he came to meet you" Yu Shao replied. "Oh I see" Eva said.

Few minutes later, their meal was ready. "Good thing I cooked alot. It's like I knew you it'll be needed" Yu Shao said as she placed the plates of food on the dining table and went back to the kitchen to get more. Yu Shao noticed that Lee Ming was walking towards the dining room and an idea came to mind. Eva was about to continue helping Yu Shao out with serving the food but Yu Shao said to her "Don't you worry my dear. I can handle the rest, just sit and wait for your meal okay?"
"Ohhh-okay" Eva said. That same moment, Lee Ming just got to the dining room and took his seat. Eva, for some reason, was nervous the moment she saw him. They were the only ones at the dinning room at that moment. "Uhmm.. I'm sorry I was angry at you earlier. I should be glad you're safe. So, I'm sorry" Eva said with her head down. "Eva look at me" came Lee Ming's voice. She slowly raised her head and looked at him and he gestured her to come sit on his thigh. "What if someone sees us?" Eva said to him. "So? You are my wife" Lee Ming said to her and made a gesture again for her to go sit on his thigh. With her heart racing once again, Eva walked towards him and sat on his thigh. "For me to accept your apology. You need to do something for me" Lee Ming said. "What should I do?" Eva asked eagerly and a cunning smile appeared on Lee Ming's face. "Kiss me" Lee Ming said, now with a serious expression. Eva was stunned by his request but didn't act like it "Stop playing around Lee" she said.
"I'm serious. You want me to forgive you right? Kiss me" Lee Ming said as his hands found its way to her back and he started rubbing her back slowly. Eva bit her lips for a moment. She closed her eyes and started to lean in to kiss Lee Ming. Finally, their lips touched. Lee Ming felt like a plant that had just received water after few weeks of drought. His hand found the back of her neck and he gently pushed it to deepen the kiss. With both of their eyes closed, Lee Ming placed Eva in a more comfortable position, making her straddle him. Eva pulled away and said "Someone might see-". "Shhh" Lee Ming said placing his finger on her mouth. Shutting her up. "Don't worry." He said looking into her eyes and with that, all of Eva's walls crumbled and she kissed him once again.
