I'll protect you

After hearing Sir Ming talk about cancelling the party, Lee Ming turned to Eva to hear her opinion. "Do you want that?" He asked and Eva stared at Lee and his father for a while before saying "No..there's no need to do that. The people are already here, it'd be sad to send them off like that" Eva answered and silence reigned between them for some seconds before Sir Ming said "If that's you want, no problem".

Seo-min was already in the guest bathroom, staring down at the body of Mr Ludwig. The man's feet was stuck to the ground for a few seconds after seeing the state Ludwig was in but he finally moved from where he was standing and slowly helped the man stand up but Ludwig was too weak to carry his own weight and he fell to the ground. Park Seo-min sighed as he tried his best to drag the man up to his feet again and out of the bathroom. He went through a passage that was not close to the party hall so that no one would see him and then finally, they arrived in Sir Ming's room. Park Seo-min pulled the man to sit on a chair in the room before taking a step back to see that Ludwig had fallen unconscious the moment he placed him on the chair.
"He's still alive" Seo-min said almost in a whisper. As he was about to leave the room, he wondered what happened to Ludwig and why Sir Ming asked to bring him here but decided not to dwell on it too much because he would know the truth soon from Sir Ming. On his way back to the hall, he stopped by Lee Ming's room and picked up a suit because the one Lee had been wearing was stained with blood and if any of the guests see it, they'll surely ask questions. Lee Ming hardly stayed or visited the Ming's Villa when he got his own house but it didn't stop Sir Ming from making sure the room was still neat and intact like Lee had never left.

Coming back to the party hall, Park Seo-min walked up to Lee Ming who was having a word with his father and gave him the suit. "If people see the blood on you, it'll stir up questions" Seo-min said as he handed Lee Ming the suit. "Thank you" Lee Ming said as he took off his blood stained suit and handed it over to Seo-min before wearing the other. Park Seo-min bowed slightly before leaving the father and son.
"What are you going to do about him?" Lee Ming asked crossing his arms. "I'd teach that bastard a lesson in my own way Lee. So don't worry, just focus on your wife now because I'm sure what Ludwig did messed up with her head one way or the other even though she doesn't show it" Sir Ming said pointing to Eva who was talking with Tae Ming some steps from where himself and Lee were standing. Lee Ming stared at Eva for a while and felt that his father was right. Though she was smiling at that moment, he knew she wasn't fine with all that happened.

"Go dance with your wife and clear her head of that horrible moment" Sir Ming said as he nudged Lee Ming. Fortunately, the music was changed to jazz music and Lee Ming walked up to Eva. Seeing her brother, Tae Ming excused herself and Lee Ming asked while stretching out his hand "Can I have this dance?". "Of course" Eva said with a small smile on her face. She took Lee Ming's hand as they both danced, placing one hand on his shoulder while holding the other and he placed one hand on her waist while holding the other. Those who weren't dancing along had their eyes on the couple.
"She's good for him. Don't you think?" Tae Ming asked facing Zaheer who was swallowing the wine he had just poured into his mouth. "Yes but would he give her what she needs? For someone who hasn't been near any other woman in this life time he's bound to make some mistakes" Zaheer said staring at Lee Ming and Eva. "Well I hope he doesn't make those mistakes" Tae Ming said biting the bottom of her lip.

Lee Ming sensed Eva's nervousness and whispered in her ear "Are you okay?". "I have never done this before and it's weird because almost everyone is staring at us" Eva replied. "I'm not asking about the people. Eva are you okay?" Lee Ming asked while looking at her eyes this time. "I am" Eva said with a fake smile on her face. The more Lee Ming stared into her eyes, the more he saw how much she was struggling to keep it together. "I'm sorry about what he did to you. I know you're scared but I'll always be there to protect you". "I really thought he was going to get away with it" Eva said as tears threatened to fall from her eyes but Lee Ming hugged her and she calmed down. After noticing that she had calmed down, he made her look at him and said "Like I said before, I'll always protect you so don't worry". After hearing him reassure her again, Eva smiled for real this time and before she could bat an eye lid, she felt Lee Ming's lips on hers as he kissed her slowly. "Lee... everyone's watching" Eva managed to say and Lee Ming pulled away. "More reason why I want to do it." He said with a smirk as he captured her lips again. Enjoying how soft her lips were and how this action unlocked hidden emotions inside of him.

Their kissed earned them cheers from the guests and with every second that passed, it got more intense to the extent that Tae Ming had to go tap on her brother's shoulder to remind him that they were in the presence of other people.
