Happy life

Dusk came quickly and it was almost time for dinner. As Yu Shao promised, Eva was in the kitchen already preparing dinner. Few minutes later, Lee Ming joined her in the kitchen but she was so focused in what she was doing that she didn't realize the moment he walked in. He leaned on the door watching his wife as she prepared dinner. He admired her as he found every of her actions cute to behold. Still thinking about the hotdogs she craved so badly, Eva felt emotional and started to tear up.
"Don't worry, you'll eat hotdogs soon" She said to herself.

Her sudden outburst startled Lee Ming and he walked towards her and hugged her from behind. Now realizing he was there, Eva cleaned her eyes quickly. "Why are you crying pet?" Lee Ming asked.
"Oh nothing. My eyes are just itching" She lied. "I can tell when you're lying you know. Lying to me is pointless" Lee Ming said as he made her turn to face him. "What's wrong?" He asked once again.
Eva ended up telling him in detail everything that happened while she was out and how she really wanted those hotdogs. "So you still want them?" Lee asked and she nodded feeling a bit ashamed that she was crying over hotdogs. Lee Ming smiled at his cute wife and said "I'll be back".

Lee Ming went to change his clothes and he took up his keys and drove out. If his wife still craved those hotdogs, he'll get it for her!. Earlier, Eva told him the name of the mall she went to. So finding it and then the hotdog cart won't be so hard. Luckily, the mall was close by. He parked his car close to the mall and used his eyes to search for the hotdog cart and thankfully, he found it. The owner seemed to be done with the day's work and was about leaving. Lee Ming crossed to the other side of the road gesturing the man to stop.
"I've closed for the day sir" The man said to Lee Ming.
"Nothing left at all?" Lee Ming asked. Wanting to confirm if really the man's hotdogs were finished. The man assessed Lee Ming for a while before opening the steam pan to show Lee Ming that he had only a sausage left.

"I wanted to eat this, but you can have it" the man said as he took the sausage out of the steam pan and started placing toppings on it.
"Thank you sir" Lee Ming said smiling at the gentleman.
"It's not for you right? A sibling or wife?" The man asked inquisitively as he glanced at the ring on Lee's fingers.  He studied Lee Ming looks and saw that obviously the man was wealthy. If he really wanted a hotdog, he could go to any restaurant to get a decedent and perfectly flavoured one. But instead, he was here and it made him guess that maybe a sibling or someone else who had tasted his hotdogs knew Lee Ming and wanted him to get it for them.
"My wife. She was here earlier but she had an accident and she couldn't taste your hotdogs anymore"
"Ohh. I think I remember! A beautiful young woman came here earlier but a motorcycle almost run her over and the hotdogs fell to the floor. Is that your wife?" The man asked as he placed the last topping on the hotdog.
"Yes."
"You have a very beautiful wife sir. I hope she didn't get hurt from the accident earlier?" The man asked in genuine concern. He saw everything earlier but couldn't leave his cart to check if she was okay because of the other customers that surrounded the cart.
"She's fine. Thank you" Lee Ming answered and the man handed him the hotdog.
"I hope she enjoys it" the man said and Lee Ming smiled at him and handed him some cash before turning to leave.

Getting home, Eva was done with making dinner and was placing the dishes on the table when Lee Ming walked in. He made his way to where she was and handed her the hotdog that was placed in a disposable pack. "I hope it makes you happy" he said as she took it from his hand. She opened the pack and a wide smile appeared on her face. "Thank you Lee" she smiled and kissed him on the cheek. Lee Ming was smiling at his wife's behavior. It was amusing and cute to see how easy she was to please.
She placed the hotdog in the kitchen and asked Lee Ming to sit for dinner.
"A quiet and special meal for my hubby" she said in a giddy manner that surprised Lee. She was happy that she was finally going to taste what she craved.

"Happy wife, happy life" Lee Ming said to himself as he watched Eva happily place his meal before him.
