"Calm down and clear your mind. I'll tell you what you want to know" Sir Ming said with a serious expression. After hearing Sir Ming assure her, she calmed down a little. "Okay....please don't hold anything back because I'm really confused and I just want to know the truth" Eva said in a low tone and Sir Ming felt bad for her because of what had happened in the past. But since she wanted to know everything, he was going to tell her everything.

"I have to admit, I'm surprised that you recalled this much of your past life. Pretty sure it's because Lee Ming's blood is still in your body" Sir Ming said as he gestured Eva to sit close to him.
"What's so special about his blood?" Eva asked confused. "I'm sure you know that the man you married isn't like any other man." Sir Ming said with a serious expression. He didn't want Eva to hear from him what kind of creature Lee Ming was. He wanted Lee to tell her himself. That would be better. Eva squinted her eyes momentarily as she thought about what Sir Ming said. Yes she knew Lee Ming wasn't normal but she didn't know what he was exactly. Everything and everyone around Lee Ming wasn't normal. Come to think of it, angels and fairies were the guests at their wedding so telling her Lee Ming wasn't a normal man was no news. She had thought about it for some time and had tried to get used to the fact that she married someone who wasn't human. Though sometimes it was hard to believe, she didn't mind it. Infact, it all felt familiar so she wasn't really scared despite knowing he wasn't human.  She was ready to accept and love him for who he really was.

"I know that Sir" Eva said raising her shoulders slightly while staring at Sir Ming straight in the eye. She didn't want to look weak because it might make Sir Ming hold back on all the things she wanted to hear from him. "Good good. As for what you asked earlier, yes. I am the king you saw in your dream. Well, I was the King. After Li Ming died, I let go of the crown" Sir Ming said pouring himself another glass of the Chinese whiskey.
"So I was right about that man being Lee Ming's past self?" Eva asked and Sir Ming nodded.
"But if he isn't human, how were they able to kill him then?" Eva asked with curiosity beaming in her bright blue eyes.
"You see...I sent him to battle on that fateful day. He was a Duke but because of how skilled he was with a sword and strong he was I always sent him to battle. Every single time he and our warriors fought against other kingdoms, the victory was ours. It was a glorious time" Sir Ming said with a far look in his eyes, as those moments were resurfacing in his mind. Eva stared at Sir Ming and felt the man was in terrible pain because of what happened in the past though he masked his feelings most of the time.
"Though it was a battle, he was assassinated. The one who murdered him knew what he was and how to kill him. At that time, Li wasn't my son. He was just my loyal and beloved subject. When I was a king, I was unmarried and had no children. Though I had women I use to bed but the ones that got pregnant I had them killed while they were still in their first trimester. Yes I know, I was heartless. But I wasn't ready to have children at that time. Until Li Ming died and I realized that I always saw him as my own son. I then relinquished the title of the King and wanted to live a normal life because I always felt it was my fault Li Ming died and I felt it was my fault the kingdom was almost taken over because of me. I had preferred to see the kingdom being ruled by someone else than let it fall to the ground because of me. After Li Ming died, it took a toll on the courage of our warriors. Fighting became hard for them, low self esteem kicked in and other kingdoms almost conquered us. All because of me. The guilt reduced when I met Lee Ming's mother. She was everything a man desired. In my eyes she was an angel who came down from heaven to heal my scars" Sir Ming said as he felt his almost closed emotional wounds open up again. Loosing his wife was like almost loosing his sanity. Eva felt the urge to hug him and she did. From his words, she knew the man loved his wife so much.

She slowly patted his back as she held onto him. The hug warmed Sir Ming's heart and he smiled before pulling away. "As I was saying, Lee's mother Kim Taeri was an amazing woman and we got married and fortunately for me, we had a beautiful daughter and after a while, a son. Lee Ming. When he was born I didn't realize he was the incarnation of Duke Li Ming until he was ten. From such a young age he started saying things Duke Li Ming once said and he started acting like him also. It was then I realized my beloved subject had come back to me in the form of my very own son this time. It was like God had smiled down at me and had forgiven me of my sins" Sir Ming said smiling from ear to ear and Eva felt strings of her heart get pulled by the man's words. The love this man had for his family was evident in every word that he said and she was happy that Lee Ming had a father like this. "Does Lee remember any of this?" Eva asked and he man sighed and answered "He doesn't remember everything. Though there were times when he was little he remembered and said things about Azerath, the kingdom I ruled but now, I doubt he remembers everything". "Ohh.." Eva said in a low tone and before she could ask Sir Ming about any other thing, Sir Ming said "Your husband is coming this way. Go with him, today has been a long day and I have things to handle also" Sir Ming said before standing up and walking away.

After Sir Ming left, Eva turned around and saw Lee Ming already a few steps away from her and she stood up and walked towards him. "Are you ready to go home?" Lee Ming asked after she got to him. "Yes" she answered and they both left the Ming Villa with Hwang Lu who tagged along with them.
