Perfection

Getting home, Lee Ming came out of the car hastily. He entered the house searching for Eva. In the process, he saw Yu Shao removing the empty dishes from the dinning table. The woman was quite surprised that he was home early but what baffled her even more is the fact what his clothes had blood stains.

Lee Ming walked up to her and asked where Eva was. "She's in the bedroom. What happened to you? Why is there blood on your clothe?" Yu Shao asked worriedly. She knew what kind of creature Lee Ming was, but she still found herself getting worried.
"I'll tell you later" Lee Ming assured her as he made haste to the bedroom while Yu Shao went on to asking Hwang Lu who just walked in, about what was going on.

Eva and Giovanni had arrived home few minutes ago and Eva had eaten to her fill now. But she still felt bad about her hotdogs. She was lying on the bed with her back facing the door when Lee Ming walked in. Hearing the sound of the door, she turned and saw Lee Ming walking towards her. She quickly got off the bed and walked up to him "Lee? What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She was extremely worried because of the blood on his clothes. Lee Ming sighed in relief as he stared at the small face of his wife. A smile appeared on his face as he immediately embraced her. Eva was puzzled by his behavior because he was surprisingly home before the time he was supposed to and also, he was the one that looked like he needed a hug.
He released her from his grip and held her face in his palms. "My pet...you made me so worried" he said while staring into her beautiful eyes. "Wha.. What's going on?" Eva asked surprised by what was happening.
"Giovanni told me what happened to you earlier" Lee Ming said. "Ohh that. I'm fine though, it wasn't a big deal". Lee Ming surveyed Eva from head to toe and saw that she had little bandages on her knees and her wrist.
He felt his heart sink seeing the small bandages on her.
"What about those?" He asked as his facial expression darkened. He was happy she wasn't in the hospital or unable to walk or any of the complications that would have arised if she collided with the biker but still, he didn't like seeing those bandages on her. It was like a blemish to her pearl skin.

Eva realised he was referring to the spots where the bandages were. Yu Shao helped her put it on earlier. "It's just scratches Lee. But don't worry about them". She answered. "I don't want anything like that on you. I don't want them to taint your beautiful skin Pet. You're perfect and I want it to remain that way" Lee Ming rubbed her hair slowly.
"I'm not perfect. Stop your flattery" Eva said giggling.
"You're perfect for me" came Lee Ming's reply and Eva couldn't help but smile.
"How's our baby? She's fine right?" Lee Ming asked, placing his hand on Eva's belly.
Eva shook her head in amusement at the man's behavior. A she? He was already assuming the baby would be a girl. She smiled and answered "I'm sure our little princess is fine".
"Tomorrow, the doctor will be here again to check you" Lee Ming said as he began taking off his blood stained clothes.
"Tomorrow? Isn't that too close? I mean, you asked him to come this morning right?. I'm not his only patient" Eva said watching him take off his clothes. He didn't have a scratch on his body so how come he had blood on his clothes?.
"I pay him well. He'd just be doing his job" Lee Ming said as he entered the bathroom to wash off.
Eva sighed as she got on the bed again and the demoness voice in her head said "When he's out, ask him what happened to him. He was so worried about you that he had to leave work early". "Hmm...that's true" Eva replied the voice.

Eva hid the gifts she got in her old room and she planned to give it to them before dinner. She felt excited that she was going to give Lee Ming something. She had always felt like he was the one always doing things for her so she was excited to see his reaction when she hands him her gift.
