XLVIII. Sixth Year: Quidditch Players Coach Non-Quidditch Players

"You look happy," James noted sarcastically. Regulus looked up from his spot on the common room couch to see his boyfriend entering the portrait. James sat down next to him. "And you are holding a letter. Let's see what's in this one from whom I'm assuming is your mother."

Regulus handed him the letter. "They found out I switched to muggle studies."

James's eyes went wide. "You switched to muggle studies?!"

"I've always wanted to take it. I've just been too scared to until now. You have it too right? Didn't they also combine the 6th and 7th years this year?"

James nodded. "Yeah. Looks like we will have another class together, Reggie."

He pretended to be annoyed at that. "I'm so excited to have to put up with you for another forty minutes of my day."

James winked at him. "Oh, I know you are excited about it."

"Shhh, don't reveal my secrets."

JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER

James was sitting in his dorm. All of his friends were all hanging out in the dorm including the four sixth year Gryffindors and Ezra. Regulus was sitting next to him reading a book. James was lazily tossing around his snitch in his hand. He thought about his conversation last night with Regulus in the Room Of Requirement.

"Do you remember when you said that this room could turn into anything we pleased?" James had asked his boyfriend.

"Yes, I do and yes, hypothetically, it can."

"So we could "hypothetically" turn this room into a Quidditch pitch?"

"I don't see why not."

"Good because I have an idea."

"And what would that be, Jamie?"

"You'll find out tomorrow."

"I have an idea," he announced to all his friends. They all looked at him curiously. "Reg and I have been thinking and we thought that it would be a fun idea for us Quidditch players to coach non-Quidditch players."

"I like your thinking, Potter," Aidan stated and Sirius and Marlene gestured to him in agreement.

"I've been thinking and since there is six of us that play, three of us can coach one team and the other three can coach another. We can play without seekers and see who can score the most in about an hour. If we do it that way, we each could pick two players and we would have our team of six."

"I'm coaching with you and Regulus then," Aidan stated. Hezekiah looked like he wanted to protest against that, but Aidan just gave him a look like it wasn't up for debate.

"Fine by me. So that means Hezekiah, Marlene, and Sirius will coach the other team," Regulus stated.

"So now we have to pick players," Marlene pointed out. "I choose Mary and Lily."
