I just wanted to pop in here and say that I just published a new Regulus first year-the war version. I would really appreciate if you guys checked it out because my goal is to make it just as big as this one. It's basically just maroon on steroids. Everyone is just like insane, and it's messy.
It's all quite dark, as you can imagine. I have rated it mature which I usually don't, but it has some really dark themes.
Anyway here is an excerpt:
Regulus was a moth that was drawn to the flame of everything dreadful.
He remembered a French saying his father had told him when he was eight, "L'appel du vide", which translated to "the call of the void."
This saying referred to the intellectual thought, or urge, of engaging in destructive behaviors in everyday life.
Examples could be the urge to touch an open flame. The urge to jump off a cliff while standing on the edge. The urge to do the one thing that would destroy your life.
If Regulus could pick a way to describe his tragic, short life it would be: L'appel du vide.
Also, I am currently working on another alternate ending chapter *extra happy this time* because I miss writing this so much. Writing this new Regulus one is basically my way of curing my Maroon grief.
