Kiera Stronghold, Avenger, finds herself trapped in a different universe on an Earth stuck in the stone-age.
At least she has a smartass scientist as entertainment.

The army of strange men had captured her— they made the man with the metal arm hold Kiera still as they injected something into her neck, and a few minutes later, she was out like a light.
When she came to, the young ravenette found herself lying on a thin blanket which separated her, just barely, from the cold floor of a cell.
Kiera sat up, confused and scared— it all came back to her, the memory of her kidnapping.
Who were these group of men? Why did that one guy have a metal arm, and why did he look so... dead inside? What did they want with her? Were they gonna kill her?
The sound of her cell door opening snapped her out of her thoughts, and in walked a man who looked to be of much importance, followed by two armed guards. Kiera didn't fail to notice the strange emblem on their uniforms; a skull with octopus legs.
The man who looked important wore a perfectly tailored business suit. He had beady, dull eyes, light brown hair, and he appeared to be middle-aged.
He regarded her with a curious expression, the corner of his lips kicking up ever so slightly— though Kiera wasn't sure if it was a sneer or a smirk.
"My name is Alexander Pierce, but you'll only refer to me as 'sir' from here on out. Is that clear, two-four-nine?"
His voice was sharp, commanding, and predatory. There was an accent, but she couldn't tell what it was—also, he was speaking in English, which Kiera only knew little of.
Two-four-nine? Kiera didn't understand, was he calling her that?
"M-Mi chiamo Kiera—"
With the snap of his fingers, one of the guards stepped forward threateningly, gun aimed right at her.
"Your name and who you once were no longer matter here— you are now property of Hydra, and until we find a fitting name for you, you'll be referred to as two-four-nine. Mi chiaroscolo?"
Kiera quickly nodded, wanting nothing more for the gun to not be pointed at her. At her compliance, the guard lowered the weapon and stepped back.
Pierce turned to them and began giving them instructions in a language she didn't understand, but it sounded like Russian.
The guards swiftly invaded her personal space, snatching Kiera off the floor— she startled, and because she feared for her life, she began kicking and screaming, even biting one of the guards hands.
That earned her a hard backhand to the cheek, causing the young girl to see stars and taste blood.
They dragged her down a labyrinthine of dimly lit hallways, through doors whose metal was unusually thick— eventually, they reached a room which looked like a laboratory.
