The hero is frozen to the spot, muscles completely tense, her body on such high alert; she hasn't felt this way in a long time.Kiera and Ultron simply stare at each other, assessing one another. She takes advantage of the calm before the storm, reaching out to Senku immediately:
'Senku...' Her voice was a quiver in her mind, showing just how terrified she was.
'Star? What's wrong?'
'We have trouble. Trouble in the form of an enemy I thought I destroyed long ago... Senku, it's Ultron...'
'... What? What the hell do you mean Ultron? You showed me that fight, I watched you and the other Avengers destroy him!'
'It doesn't matter! It's doesn't fucking matter at this point! Oh God... Senku... I'm so sorry... I'm so, so sorry...' She could feel the tears building in her eyes.
'Star... I don't like this... What-... What are you trying to say?'
'That I have to fight him... I have to destroy him for good... Senku, I don't think-... I don't think I'll be coming out of this alive...'
Her words made the scientists blood run cold. Gen, Xeno, and Stanley were standing with him at the very front of the ship. The three of them noticed how his face went completely pale.
"Senku-Chan..." The mentalist said carefully, slowly. "What's wrong?"
"Kiera, she's... She's gonna-..."
The hero's voice in his head interrupts his words:
'Senku, you have to keep everyone where you are, you cannot come back. Don't worry about Ruri and the others, Ultron has only petrified them... He doesn't kill mindlessly, he won't harm them. It's me he wants...'
'Are you crazy?! And what, leave you to die?! I refuse, you can't do this to me Kiera, not again! Don't make me watch you die for a second time!'
Gen clears his throat, "Friday, mind telling us what's going on?"
The bracelet on Senku's wrist lights up and begins speaking, informing the four of them about the situation, and explaining who Ultron is.
Xeno was baffled, "An AI that is completely sentient and hellbent on exterminating super-humans?"
Stanley remains quiet, though his brows are furrowed.
Senku speaks up hesitantly, his voice uncharacteristically soft. "Friday... What are the exact chances she will make it out of this alive..?'
"I'm sorry sir, but I calculate only a five percent chance of survival. The Avengers as a group had trouble taking him down together. She's alone, and not at all in peak condition. Her power may be able to destroy him, but even if she is successful, there's a ninety five percent chance she won't make it."
