Chapter-29

Author's POV

The crescent moon hid behind the clouds, leaving the sky all alone and in darkness.

There were a few stars, here and there, twinkling but the sky was dark grey.

It reflected with his bitter mood.

No matter how many times he thought about this incident, it seemed like he made a big mistake. It was bothering him to no extent. Because he never felt so until now.

He has killed so many people, mercilessly. He almost beat his best friend, his baby sister's husband to death, he even stopped talking to his baby sister and avoided his best friend but it never seemed like a mistake to him.

That guilt never surrounded him.

Until now.

But today, he was feeling it. The guilt, the regret. He was feeling it all.

He wasn't regretting hitting her best friend, Ved. He will do it again and again if that guy comes anywhere near to her. He was guilty because of how he treated her. He regretted calling her a SLUT.

It wasn't the first time he called her a slut. He regretted it with all his heart!

Wait. Is there even a heart in here?

He misunderstood the scene and did everything in a fit of fury.

He didn't regret finger fucking her. He enjoyed it. But he didn't like the fact that it happened under such misunderstood circumstances.

There is no explanation for whatever he did.

He did it and it happened. There is no going back now.

There is one thing he could do. And he was in the middle of that mission.

The window made a clicking sound before it unlocked, slowly. He entered through the window and closed it behind him.

He expected her to be asleep since the lights were off but she wasn't.

Ved and Aditi gave her much-needed comfort. Aditi fed her some food and even gave her a head massage. Although her mood didn't change drastically, it sure helped her smile a little.

Ved left around 11 and Aditi insisted on sleeping with Parul but she refused.

She didn't want to put her in this mess.

For some reason, she knew that he would sneak in and it wouldn't be good if he saw Aditi. He might decide to eliminate her from the world. Her thoughts were running wild.

She spoke with her grandparents and it helped her mood to brighten some more. Sleep was nowhere near and so she decided to read a book but her attention was everywhere, except where it was necessary.

Sighing, she turned to her phone. Scrolling Instagram was the only option left now.

Although she was scrolling Instagram, his words were still ringing in her ears, constantly reminding her of the unfortunate condition she was in.

It was enough to make her sulk.

Throwing the phone away and lying on the bed seemed like a good idea but she has been turning and tossing around the bed for more than three hours.

She had no choice but to force her attention to her phone, whatever that was playing on it.

Finally, a small yawn escaped her lips, she sighed deeply thinking that she could sleep now.
