Chapter-106

Parul's POV

One day we'll wake up and it'll all just be a dream.

If whatever I remember is a dream then I must say, it was one of the best dreams. It's one such dream that'll make you never want to wake up again. I should just go back to sleep and maybe when I wake up, I'll be with him, in his arms.

Get a grip. To the whole world, you are dead. There is no Parul. You should move on.

How cruel is this person talking to me?

I don't want to hear any more bullshit from this cruel voice.

I am just trying to protect you.

No! No, you're not. You are hurting me. Hurting me beyond words. What was the necessity of all that coping? It's cruel. I had a life. I was happy with him. It would have been better if I hadn't woken up at all.

It's okay everything will be fine.

" Parul?" I looked at her chocolate brown eyes. They look so much like his. How I wish those eyes to be his. He is the one staring at me and not Avani.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

" Come inside, it'll get chilly" she said holding my hands.

I don't have anywhere else to go.

I let her help me inside the house. This type of house is found in villages.

There is a cot beside the door, two wooden chairs and a table. Thats it. Nothing else. As we walked further, to the right was a small kitchen and I saw the old couple doing something from the corner of my eyes. Besides the kitchen is a room and then another. It seemed like a bedroom.

" Let's have dinner" The old woman called. Avani looked at me and walked me back to the hall.

The old couple were setting plates on the floor. She served rice and dal to all four plates. I stood there, watching them in silence.

" Eat baba, we can talk later," the old man said in his soft voice.

Tears gathered in my eyes. My grandparents... Sameer...

Do they also think I'm dead? How hard it is for them.

" I can feed you..." the old woman offered smiling warmly at me.

Her warm smile poured warmth into my chest. She looks the same age as my grandma.

" I...I can eat..." I tried to speak but it came out like a strangled cry.

" Aayi, I will feed her" Avani declared and led me towards the chair.

" I can sit on the floor..." I said but Avani forced me to sit on the chair.
