Chapter-102

Author's POV

Aryan and Shiva remained silent for god knows how long. Ever since he walked inside Shiva's study, all they did was look at each other, sighing and shaking their heads.

When Aryan received Parul's message, he was a little shocked.

Please come home tomorrow...don't miss, something important.

She had texted him last night. He had just reached his home and was slightly tired. He replied to her with an okay and slept.

The whole week has been a roller coaster for him. Since his wife's demise, he found it hard to stay at Arasu Mansion. It triggered his deepest, darkest emotions that he had buried years ago. But still, he stayed back because of Manav.

Manav enjoyed the company of Parul's grandparents and it's been days since Manav spent time with so many people. It was good for him too.

Before coming to Shiva's penthouse, he dropped Manav at Aditi's place and drove there, only for them to sit in silence for more than an hour.

Well, Shiva was slightly agitated. He wanted Aryan to break the silence first. But he didn't seem like it.

When his dear wife asked him to talk with Aryan, he was genuinely angry. But when she gave him silent treatment, he couldn't help but agree to her demand.

It never crossed his mind until now.

What will I lose by reconciling with him? Nothing. After all, he has gone through so much. Shiva thought to himself before saying yes to Parul.

It was Parul's influence on his behaviour. Shiva was changing and everyone was noticing the changes in his behaviour. It was almost like they were seeing a brand new Shiva. All thanks to Parul and his burning love for her.

He was willing to change for her and that's the beauty of love.

He was so relieved that things were different from what happened in that dream. Maybe it was a divine intervention, that dream saved their relationship.

At this point, he'd do anything for her. Reconciling with Aryan was nothing. Moreover, he never hated Aryan. He was hurt.

And now, their differences would be solved.

" So...are you going to sit here and look at me all day or explain why the fuck you did what you did!" After a brief silence, Shiva said breaking the ice. He didn't look angry rather he looked hurt.

Aryan gulped and raised his brows.

" The same reason why you forced Parul into this marriage" Aryan bit back calmly.

Shiva fisted his palm and, " Arya! I love her..." he growled banging the table in front of him.

" So did I!" Aryan growled back, clutching the edge of the table to control his anger. " I love Manu...
I loved her then, I love her now and I will love her forever..." Aryan's voice shook with each word that escaped his lips.

Shiva felt his pain. Although he couldn't imagine what Aryan was feeling, but still Manvi was his sister. He loved her so much.

" Why the fuck didn't you protect her?" Shiva asked almost forcing himself to sound in a complaining way.

Aryan's head hung down in defeat. If only he could change what happened that day!

" She trusted you, bastard! You should have saved her!" Shiva got up from his seat, accusing him. His pain was reflected in his eyes.
