The family and friends, especially Shiva were eagerly waiting for her.
And the wait was over.
Parul walked down the path which led to the mandap along with Shiva's men.
The aisle leading to the mandap was lined with candles, creating a warm and intimate ambience. Fragrant flower petals were scattered along the pathway.
She looked like a goddess walking down the aisle in that golden silk saree.
The traditional tabla and drum music welcomed her.
Her eyes were fixed on the pink and red roses adorning the pathway leading to the mandap.
As she walked closer and closer to the Mandap, her heart was beating faster and faster.
Shiva's world stopped working looking at the angel in front of him.

Inhaling sharply, she looked up to meet with the powerful brown eyes. Instead, she was met with a pair of warm black eyes.
Raman and Sarojini were standing in front of her. Their eyes shone with extreme love and affection.
" My lovely pari.." he embraced his granddaughter into a warm hug and placed a soft peck on her cheeks.
" I'm so happy for you kandha (baby)" Sarojini cupped her cheeks gently and kissed her.
Parul smiled widely at them.
" I love you both..." she cupped their faces, her eyes glittered with love for them.
" Muhurtam is approaching" Pandit ji alarmed them.
They smiled and walked her towards the Mandap where her groom was waiting for her. Eagerly I might add.
This time when she lifted her eyes, she was met with the most blazing browns. He was looking at her with so much love, eagerness, and affection, that she could feel it.
Everyone could sense it.
Their eyes connected and everything, right from their first meet to the sangeet ceremony, passed before her eyes like a movie trailer.
So much happened within a short time. Just four months for others but it felt like a lifetime for her.
" Tum itnee pyaari lagogee to mere dil kaise sahega? (How will my heart tolerate it if you look this lovely?)" Shiva said looking into her stunned honey pools.
"Itni pyaari...itnii Sundar...." he mused unbothered about the family and friends watching him. She blushed at his compliments.
They continued to look into each other's eyes for a while before Pandit ji asked them to settle down as Muhurtam was approaching.
