Chapter-74
Author's POV
Loved ones surrounded the newlyweds.
The main stage was adorned with lighting and beautiful white roses. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. The family members, friends, and guests had arrived dressed in traditional attire.
Mr Varadha Raj Aras, the Chief Minister of Amaravati took the stage and announced the arrival of Shiva and his wife, Parul.
And the newlyweds were welcomed with wild cheering, claps and hooting.
Parul squeezed his arms tightly as they were the centre of focus right now. Many media persons were seated with the camera, ready to capture moments from the grand reception.
Just when she thought, there could be no more surprise, the lights went off and the arm, surrounding her waist loosened and gradually slipped off.
" Shiva...." she looked around, kinda nervous about the whole situation.
" Is this some game?" she hissed she couldn't hear anything or see anyone.
It was completely pitch dark.
Until now, his presence was making her breathless and now, his absence took her breath away.
" Shiva..." she mumbled, slowly turning around. The heels were not to play with. She didn't want to stumble and fall face-first ---from the aisle.
It'd be so embarrassing if she fell from the aisle.
Muttering incoherent words, she looked for his piercing chocolate browns through the pitch darkness.
After a brief minute, she could hear some soft giggles and murmuring.
Sighing in annoyance, she turned around and the lights were on.
It looked dreamy. In front of her were the kids she used to mentor.
In the centre was Manav.
Everyone was holding a small banner, placards and posters. Some in a circle and others in a heart shape.
Each included certain details about her and Shiva. About his dangerous love for her.
The first one was Gauri, she always liked her Hazel eyes. Upon the Circle pink placard was written May 28, and a cartoon drawing of a boy holding a girl's waist. Only her eyes could be seen, she had covered her face with a white dupatta.
It was a tale about their first meet.
It was etched in her memory, crystal clear. She was so scared that day, she thought he would hit her.
