Chapter-30
Author's POV
She looked at the laptop screen, re-reading the mail. She must've read it for the hundredth time already. Although the mail had no grammatical errors, she couldn't bring herself to click on the send button.
The sudden buzzing sound coming from her phone caught her attention.
Thinking about you Fia.... Read the message from a familiar unsaved number.
She hadn't saved his number yet. Placing the phone face down on the bed, she clicked on the send button.
Heaving a deep sigh, she proceeded to pack her bags.
Although he apologised, it didn't make her feel any better. If anything her anxiety increased even more. His raw confession and a sincere apology made her re-think the gravity of the situation.
I have never apologized to anyone
Not after killing the masses...
Not even after beating my best friend black and blue"
I did some things which hurt my loved ones...but I haven't apologised for it... yet
I have always been like this. And I'll never change either.
It's okay if you don't forgive me. But I am really sorry princess. I really am
Each word hit her like a bullet train. And that letter. She didn't dare to read it again.
By the time she woke up, there was a letter with a single dark red rose. There were no thorns. So she didn't get that sudden tension seeing that Rose.
Dhil se maafi mangta hu, ye shayari ke roop mei.
Yeh dhil tumhare naam haiIn moments of anger, I lost sight of your worth,
And caused you pain that cut deep, beyond the surface of the earth.
Regret consumes me, my heart heavy with sorrow,
For I know, the hurt caused by my words.
Hoping my words can heal, and once again make us whole.
In this poetic plea, I express my remorse.
I am sorry Paaru.
~ Ratha. That man never left any doubts. She never received a letter or flowers. It made her sick. Those beautiful dark red roses brought creeps all over her body.
That letter was beautiful. But all she felt was an intense headache.
Looking at the clock, she made her way downstairs with the small bag in her hand.
She was met with concerned Aditi. She looked really worried. Parul couldn't help but smile looking at her worried face.
" Are you sure Sona...? He might go mad...!" Aditi stressed the last part.
There was a brief worry that flickered in her brown eyes before she masked it.
" I'm going back to my native. It's not like I need his permission to leave. And...I am just going for a week..." she sighed, walking past Aditi, and chugged down the water.
The mention of him made her throat dry.
" School has approved the leave. Plus I have to see them. It's been more than a month. I'm missing them badly.." Parul turned her attention towards Aditi who still had worry plastered all over her face. For she knew the consequences of crossing Shiva.
" The bruise...what will you tell them?" Aditi sighed, pointing her fingers towards her neck. Parul touched her neck through the fabric. She was wearing a high-neck top.
