Chapter-114

Author's POV

" I have taken her blood samples, we'll run tests and let's wait for the results. But as of now, she is fine, well and good. Therapy would work like a miracle" Ajeya said looking at Aryan with a smile.

A sigh of relief escaped his lips.

Manvi tried to sit up but Arya didn't let her get up from the bed.

" Manu you should rest, tomorrow is a big day" Aryan cupped her face, placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

Ajeya smiled heartily at them. He was happy that Manvi was alive and that they found her.

Looking at them, he couldn't help but feel warmth in his chest.

" Okay, good night guys, I should check on Nina" Ajeya gathered his things and walked out of the room.

Aryan stared at his disappearing back and then looked at Manvi.

" How is Pari?" He wanted to talk about her supposed pregnancy but couldn't.

" It depends on what you are asking, she is pregnant and the baby is fine but as for her mental health, I think it depends on how bhaiyya reacts to the news" Manvi said after yawning. She was sleepy.

Aryan's lips pursed into a thin line.

" Arya..."

" Yes love"

" Does Manav remember me?"
She looked at Aryan with sad eyes.

"Of course he does, he thinks you are an angel and you are in heaven..that's what I told him whenever he asked about you" he smiled but his tone came out strangled.

Aryan pulled her closer to his chest, kissing her face.

" I love you Arya, I love you so much...you are the best" Manvi kissed him on his lips, drawing invisible patterns on his chest.

Aryan was happy and his heart was content.

His wife, his love wasn't dead. She was alive and he had her in his arms, where she was supposed to be.

There was nothing more he could have asked for.

This was what he wanted, this was what his heart craved.

Thankfully, fate didn't play another cruel game with him. This time destiny favoured him and he was grateful to the almighty.

On the other side of the room, Nina, the doctor, Ajeya's assistant, held out the pregnancy test kit and heaved out a deep sigh.

" Congratulations Sir, she's pregnant" Nina spoke cheerfully stuffing other test kits into the box.

He was happy but he would have been the happiest if she broke the news to him, instead of disappearing. Or so he thought.

Parul was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at Shiva. His eyes were fixed on hers. She tried to make out what he was feeling but his face gave away nothing.

He looked blank.

Nina was expecting him to say something—anything after she revealed the happy news but nope.

" Ratha Bhai" the chilly silence was broken by Ajeya.

Shiva took his time to tilt his neck towards the door and raised his brows in question.
