Chapter -88

Author's POV

She was right. He was right too. He didn't mean to hurt her and he didn't want to hurt her. But somehow ended up hurting her always.

" I'm sorry Paaru..." he cupped her face gently and apologized looking deep into her teary eyes.

Shiva was full of surprises and unpredictability.

She studied his intense eyes for a minute and then shook her head.

" You don't seem genuinely sorry," Parul said nonchalantly.

Shiva was taken aback by her statement.

Of course, he was genuinely apologizing and both of them knew that.

" You want me on my knees? Or do you want me to apologise in front of the whole world?" Shiva sounded quite offensive. Nonetheless, he would do anything to make her happy.

Although Parul had a straight face, inside she was squealing like a happy little kid.

Her heart was jumping in happiness.

The fact that he'd do anything, literally anything for her was maddening yet made her feel like the luckiest person alive.

She slowly removed his hold from her and walked inside the bedroom followed by Shiva. She sat on the bed and her eyes fell on the bunch of roses and chocolates placed on the bed. Her eyes twinkled in happiness looking at the Flowers and chocolates.

Ignoring them for a while, she looked at him as he sat next to her eyeing her intensely.

" You seriously think I am casually apologising?" Shiva asked looking at her with knitted brows.

He never bothered about how others perceived him, or how his words affected others. But with her, it was entirely different. He cared about her. Her opinions, perceptions and thoughts mattered a lot.

Parul shook her head in a no and Shiva released a sigh that he was holding for no reason.

" It's just that you say sorry and you hurt me again" Parul fiddled with her fingers and made a sad face.

Shiva nodded in agreement. He knew that's what he was doing and he didn't want to do it either.

Shiva tried to hold her hands but Parul crossed her hand across her chest and looked at him with a questioning gaze.

Heaving a tiring sigh, he got up from the bed. Parul was looking down not wanting to look into his intimidating eyes.

Shiva placed his hands under her knees and lifted her, settled on the bed, made her sit on his lap and secured his arms around her wiggling frame.

With his free hand, he cupped her chin gently and made her look into his eyes.

" I am sorry mish" he made a cute sorry face which earned a small smile from her.

" You are not cute" she shrugged throwing her arms around his neck. " Lekin mere patni bahut cute hai" He replied with a small grin.

Parul blushed but immediately put on a straight face.

" Shiva...will you listen to me? I have to tell you something" Parul looked concerned.

" I will..." he assured.

Parul placed her hands on both sides of his chest and looked into his calm chocolate ocean.
