Seungmin was flooring it the whole way back, and I was half concerned that we'd get police cars on us, but not once did I hear a siren, and Seungmin remained cool and collected. Meanwhile, the blood was slowing down, and Jeongin was half-awake now, though not really aware of Yeosang and I trying to talk to him.
"How much further?" I asked the driver at one point, my voice shaky.
"Nearly there," Seungmin assured me. "He'll be okay, Lex, Minho is one of the best, and with Mingi helping him, Jeongin will get the best care possible."
"Yeah," I murmured, sighing as I continued to try and remain calm; how Seungmin did it, I'll never know.
Finally, Seungmin began to slow down, and within seconds, he was already screeching to a stop. Letting go of Jeongin's wound, I flung the door open, where Minho and Mingi were already waiting. Wordlessly, they carried Jeongin out of the van and rushed into the mansion.
Seungmin, Yeosang, and I exited the van, seeing some of the others outside too. Yeosang went over to Hongjoong, whilst Seungmin headed inside.
"Wooyoung is in the medical room too," I heard Hongjoong say. "But it's not serious, idiot ran into a wall."
"He'll be okay?" I asked in concern as Yeosang snorted.
"He'll be fine," Hongjoong said, chuckling quietly. "Just a concussion, and probably a bruised ego." He then looked at Yeosang and I gratefully. "Though I must thank you, if it wasn't for you three flanking them Chan and I wouldn't have gotten out of there as well as we did."
"Anything for you guys," I said sincerely with a small smile.
Hongjoong nodded, returning the smile, then turned to head inside with his group, the rest of Skz having already gone inside... or so I thought.
As I made to follow Atz inside, I was suddenly stopped as Chan stood in front of me. For a second, I froze out of instinct, but he just gently turned my face to look at my cheek.
"You're hurt," he observed quietly. "You need to get that seen to."
The reminder of the cut meant the stinging pain returned, and I refrained from wincing. I didn't need to be a baby about something so insignificant when Jeongin was seriously hurt.
"It's fine," I said nonchalantly. "The doctors are occupied with something more important. I'll just clean it up."
Chan, however, rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand, pulling me along with him gently into the mansion. I was too shocked to even form a sentence to ask what he was doing. Yet it was soon made clear when we reached the medical room.
Inside the room, I could see one of the beds was occupied by an unconscious Wooyoung, San sitting next to him. Jeongin was most likely in the operating room. San looked up at our entrance, and when he made eye contact with me, he smiled in humour.
"I've been trying not to laugh at this fool," he said quietly, and sure enough, he stifled a laugh. I smiled a little in response; at least Wooyoung wasn't hurt enough that his members were comfortable enough to laugh at him.
"Sit," Chan instructed me, pointing at the bed closest.
I just blinked at him, stunned as he gave me an order without sounding angry or aggressive. What was with him?
When I didn't move, though, he sighed and lifted me up onto the bed himself, then went over to the medical supplies cupboard. My heart was beating rapidly in my chest, cheeks flushing, and butterflies entered my stomach. Why the hell was I feeling butterflies?
