For the next two weeks or so, I took a break from my work and focused on healing up as much as possible. Not that I had a choice as Ms. Choi was adamant I rested up, making sure that I didn't go out much and that I was keeping up with treating the wounds. It was frustrating not going out, but Ms Choi, bless her heart, made sure to always bring back food shopping and necessities for me.

Whilst I was recuperating, I went through the data I had about Skz I had managed to get on the usb. There was all kinds of info on it, such as how many men they had, what kind of weapons they used, what businesses they owned, and even who their allies were... all very interesting, and very useful if I could sell it on to one of their rivals.

It was down to all this resting and treating my wounds that by the end of two weeks, the scabs were already peeling off the healed skin. That also meant Ms Choi was happy with me to go about my daily life outside of work. I was itching to get back outside.

As I headed to my car one morning, I relished the warmth from the bright sun in the clear blue sky, the breeze that brushed against my skin, the sounds of animals and insects going about their morning routine. Trust me, don't ever take being outside for granted.

In my car I got, taking a moment to think about what I wanted to do today. Maybe I'd stop by the book shop, I was in need of some new reading material. And food shopping wasn't a bad idea either; perhaps cooking for Ms Choi was a good start to repay her for her care.

But first, I was dying for an iced tea from Starbucks.

So, I set off in my car towards my usual Starbucks spot, my mouth watering at the thought of the cold, sweet but slightly bitter taste of peach iced tea. Those two weeks had been torture without said beverage.

Ten minutes later, I parked my car in a quiet parking lot that thankfully wasn't a pay-to-park. Within seconds of turning my engine off, I was already out of the car, ready to almost sprint to Starbucks, eager enough that I almost forgot to lock the car. Cursing under my breath, I quickly hit the lock button on the key, then turned and carried on at a brisk walk.

It was less than a minute until I was standing in front of Starbucks, relief washing through me as I saw that it wasn't busy. When I stepped inside, I saw that it was a queue of just three people.

Even though I knew it wouldn't take long until I put my order in, I couldn't help but feel impatient. I think this showed because when I began lightly bouncing on the balls of my feet, I heard someone in the queue behind me chuckle quietly. This made me go still, a light pink dusting my cheeks as I didn't bother looking around at who might have seen me.

To my relief, it was soon my turn to place my order with the smiling employee behind the register.

"One peach iced tea, please," I asked with a soft smile.

"Of course!" the girl said brightly and typed into the register. "Anything else?"

"No, thank you," I said politely.

As the cashier told me the price, I began looking for my purse in the pockets of my jacket; I usually never brought a bag with me or anything. However, after a couple of seconds of frantic patting my pockets, I realised that I didn't have my purse or my phone for that matter. I'd most likely dropped them in the car in my haste to get out.
