Third person p.o.v

A blanket of snow lay across the cemetery, but the snowfall itself had eased off. Winter was making itself known, bringing the cold chill and grey skies.

At one grave in particular sat a lone figure, bundled up against the wind that nipped at their exposed skin. With gloved hands, they placed a bouquet of flowers on the ground in front of the grave.

"I miss you," they said to the headstone. "So much. I keep thinking about all the things we could've done together, all the things that could've been said... but fate decided to take you away from me." A gasp escaped their lips as tears fell. "I just wish... we could've had more time."

Silent sobs escaped them as they tried to keep it together despite the ache in their heart. Footsteps crunching on snow told them that they wouldn't be alone for long. Sure enough, a hand went to their shoulder, making them take a deep breath as they stilled the tears.

"I'm here, princess."

"Thank you," I murmured, wiping my face with my sleeve, then looked up at Chan, who gave me a soft smile.

"Let's get you up off the ground, eh?" he said, and gave me a hand up onto my feet. "Aren't you cold?"

"A little," I admitted sheepishly as I noticed the snow had soaked into my jeans a little.

"We can go warm up in the car," he said, pulling me into his arms. "You ready to go?"

"Yeah," I sighed, looking back at my parents grave, touching it briefly. "I'll come back soon."

Arm in arm, together Chan and I walked through the cemetery in silence back to his car. Before letting me go to get in the car, he pulled me in close, and I happily snuggled into his warm embrace. After what had happened a few months ago, I was never going to take this for granted ever again. I'd been held captive and almost killed, it was definitely enough to make me appreciate things more.

"I love you so much," he murmured, kissing my hair.

"I love you so much too," I said softly, pulling back a little to kiss him on the lips. I'd never get tired of the sensation his warm, soft lips provided.

After one more kiss, we pulled away to get into the car, where Chan instantly turned the heating on. The warm air was welcome as it removed the cold chill on me.

"How's the pain?" Chan asked in concern.

"Fine at the moment," I answered truthfully, my hand subconsciously going to the scar on my chest.

Despite having mostly healed up, every now and then the area on my chest where I'd been shot caused me pain, though mostly in the cold. Minho had told me it wasn't anything to worry about, and to take pain meds when I needed to. Honestly I was just grateful to him and the other doctors who had worked tirelessly to save my life; I probably would've been dead if it wasn't for them.

"Okay," Chan said as he started the car and drove off. "Please tell me if it starts hurting though."

"I will," I promised, watching the snowy scenery.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, trying to sound casual about it, but I knew what he was doing. It was something he did often these days, making sure I was okay, that I wasn't in pain and that I was eating normally, but I couldn't begrudge him that, he did almost lose me after all.
