AN: Just a quick note that reader is mentioned as being the president's daughter, but she's not Ashley, since Ashley doesn't exist in this imagine.
(Sorry Ashley...)
---------------------------------------------------------They say before you start a war
You better know what you're fighting for
Well baby, you are all that I adore
If love is what you need, a soldier I will beI'm an angel with a shotgun, fighting 'til the war's won
I don't care if heaven won't take me back
I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe
Don't you know you're everything I have?
And I wanna live, not just survive tonight-Angel With A Shotgun by The Cab
Leon POV:
As soon as we enter the room, the sound of running water has me on full attention. I look around, sensing Y/N behind me. I glance back, watching as my girlfriend, also known as the president's daughter, hesitantly looks at me. Somethings off, and it's not just from the creepy village or the numerous people who've tried to kidnap her again, it's the fact the waters black.
"Think Ramòn's been trying to wash away all the age?" Y/N jokes, as usual making light of a scary situation. I huff a genuine laugh, feeling my lips lift as I turn forwards again.
"Maybe. Or maybe it's just the-" I begin, but the sound of heavy footsteps stops me. From out of nowhere around ten robed enemies appear, some with axes and mace's, others with thick wooden shields. Immediately I reach behind me, an arm protectively pushing Y/N back as I angle my body towards her, ready to take a blade if I have to.
My other hand reaches for the holster strapped to my back, pulling out the loaded shotgun. I pump it, then aim as I hit the first approaching target. The robed figure goes down without a single sound, showing just how mind controlled they are. The others close in quickly, so risking a glance at my girl, I nod my head for her to run.
She nods, ducking under the arms of one of the creepy figures as she escapes the fight, but stops when she's out of close range. I aim the shotgun up, blasting away every figure in my path who's trying to get to her. It was bad enough losing her the first time, I'm not letting anyone take her again. Meanwhile, she watches me, hands over her ears to block the sound of the loud shots, until all the bodies are down. Once safe, I look up at her, seeing she's already barrelling her way to me, arms outstretched towards me as she wraps her arms around my neck. I lower the gun, catching her with one arm and holding her to my chest.
"You okay?" I ask, looking down and checking for injuries. If those bastards even scratched her-
"I'm fine Leon, thank you." She smiles. I nod, letting out a relieved breath as I set her back on her feet. I nod, standing straighter as I lead her down some steps to grab the wheel we need to bring up some platforms. I check every corner of the room as we delve deeper, being on the lookout for danger. I'm fighting for her, and I'll be her solider if it means keeping her safe and by my side. As selfish and fucked up it might seem, I'll kill anyone who even thinks about hurting her, she's everything I've ever wanted and more.
She grins as she grabs the wheel we need, waving it up to show me. I smile, nodding in silent praise before we make it to the end of the room, where more platforms are. Sighing, I look around, seeing two controls above us. I don't see any stairs, which means one of us needs to go up there. "Give me a boost muscle man." She lightly says, rushing to a wall where the rails broken. I shake my head, but she gives me a pointed look, I know there's no other option.
I bend down, helping her up as she climbs up with an adorable huff, then begins to head for the wheel. I watch her go, already internally panicking at the distance between us. A shadow across the room captures my attention, then more robed people come in, trying to grab her.
"Wrong fucking day to be part of a cult." I mumble, dodging axes and shields as I aim my gun and shoot those who are in her way, as well as the people trying to kill me. We're gonna escape this place, and we're going to live, not just survive.
Soon enough, Y/N's got the platforms up, and rushes to the balcony, scaring the shit out of me as she climbs over and dangles her legs. "Ready?" She shouts, then having all her faith in me she drops right into my arms.
I grunt mostly in half annoyance, giving her a stern look that doesn't last longer than a second. "You've gotta be careful."
She snorts as she stands and brushes herself down. The smile she gives me almost brings me to my knees, she's so perfect and all mine. My faith. My hope. My woman.
"Come on, we should get out of here, this place is creepy." She mumbles, reaching up to kiss my cheek, then she links an arm with me and tugs me forwards, always being my guide, and I her protector.
