AN: In this one Leon is a detective investigating a case, and Reader is a spy working to gather information separately. They do have off-page history that's implied but not described.

-------------------------------------------------------

My heels click across the marble floor as I search the party, looking for any familiar faces. I've read the files and information sent to me about my newest job, remembering all the key details I need in order to find and sweet talk my way into some intriguing conversation and gather some evidence. Apparently the bad, bad man who's hosting this little get together is some kind of crime boss, who's been terrorising the city with illicit activities. I'm not bothered about that, but I, along with some anonymous person, don't like how much power he has and he needs to be taken care of, but for that I need to know how I can screw him up. I'm being paid handsomely, so I can't fuck this up.

I smile at unsuspecting guests, grabbing a flute of champagne to better blend it, it's better to be camouflaged in the open than it is to look ominous in the corners. I sip on it, still wandering around the large room until my eyes almost deceive me. I stop, fingers tightening around my glass as I stare at one familiar face. One I most definitely didn't expect to be here. Then again, Detective Leon S. Kennedy has been a thorn in my side since we had our first encounter a few years ago when I was stealing back the van full of illegal weapons that he'd just caught. The weapons sold for a ridiculous price, the van just went into the river.

I smile to myself, my blood red lips curving up as his Neptune blue eyes find mine across the room, his instincts of being watched are clearly as sharp as ever. I lift a hand, wiggling my fingers at him and smirking when his lips part just the tiniest bit, but then I can see him mouth some curse words as he scratches his ear. I'm not dumb, and I know he's ratting me out. I let a small breath escape me, not entirely disliking how this job is going pear shaped, but it does make things a smidge more complicated. With one last lingering look at him I turn and continue my goal; finding someone who can help me.

I end up chatting with a man a little younger than me, and with only a few simple touches and some simple seduction tactics he begins to spill his boss' secrets, stumbling over his words as my breath grazes over his ear, his skin forms goose bumps as I let my hands wander, then once I've got what I need I pull away, murmuring for him to meet me in the upstairs library in five minutes. He nods, already scrambling up as I roll my eyes, not feeling at all sad that he's going to be waiting all his life for another meeting with me.

"That was cruel," A deep voice mumbles into my ear as I gasp, turning to come face to face with Detective Leon, "you're gonna break his heart." Leon smiles, eyes looking me up and down. I feel my heart begin to race as the closeness, the smell of his cologne is intoxicating, but I'm working. Then again, all work and no play does make for a very dull life.

I shrug, batting my eyelashes. "It'll teach him to learn some things about trust. Besides, his employer will have him dead and dumped by the end of the week." Leon's eyes harden as his eyes glance upstairs, as if debating whether or not to go warn the poor soul. I smile, reaching out to place a hand on his hard chest. "You should come with me in the garden." I whisper, then without waiting for an answer I turn and walk away, purposely swaying my hips knowing Leon's watching me.

Only minutes later am I stood near a large water fountain, the sound of the running water peaceful, a contrast to the ear shrilling classical violin playing inside. I love classical music, but not when it's coming from an obnoxious party full of assholes. A warm breeze blows my hair as the sound of approaching footsteps captures my attention. I turn to see Leon striding towards me, the darkness of his suit blending in with the night, his eyes narrowed at me as he searches me for any signs of deception or danger.
