AN: Someone requested an imagine where Leon accidentally compares reader to Ada, and snaps when she gets taken, only to realise that Y/N is what he wants. This one has a happy ending!
---------------------------------------------------------

It's getting late, and slowly but surely the guests of the charity gala are beginning to leave. I don't blame them, after hours of dancing, chatting with more people I'd prefer to and listening to numerous speeches, I'm more than ready to take off this dress, throw my heels back under the bed for another few months and collapse into bed for a year.

A yawn escapes me as I stand and bump right into someone. My eyes widen as I reach out to steady them, only to find a handsome man grabbing back onto me, presumably do to the same thing. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologise, but the man shakes his head, his dark hair falling over a perfect eyebrow.

"That's okay, I wasn't looking either." He smiles. I look up into his blue eyes, finding a glimpse of playfulness there, but honestly I'm too tired to flirt or keep the conversation going, instead I grab my coat and give him a small wave, side stepping past him as I make my way around all the tables.

"Uhh...wait!" The man calls out, rushing to my side as I atop and put on a polite smile. "Is this your napkin?" He asks with a half smile. I stare at the white fabric in his hand for at least a few seconds until my mind catches up, he's not really asking if it's my napkin, the thing has the venues name written all over it.

"Tacky flirt." I laugh, shaking my head as he grins and tosses it onto the nearby table.

"Sorry," He holds his hands up in a surrender, "but I didn't know your name, so I couldn't call you back." He gives me a look, as if the previous comment was a question. Silently cursing my sleepy brain, I hold out my hand and introduce myself. The man takes it, and does the same.

I begin to head to the exit again, but this time Leon follows me, and keeps up the conversation until we're stood outside in the night, the stars shining above us as we talk and talk. Despite being tired, I continue talking to him, finding myself drawn to this kind and enigmatic man, and by the looks of things, he's drawn to me too...

6 Months Later

I watch as Leon talks to a woman outside of the restaurant, my knee bounces at the table Leon left me at as the black haired woman smiles at him, but Leon seems to frown and look away from her. It's not hard to put two and two together; they both have history, and I don't like it.

I sigh, taking a sip of my wine before turning back to watch the two, but this time I find Leon pointing in my direction, and the woman's eyes on me. She arches a brow, as if disapproving of me, then shrugs up a shoulder and walks away, swaying her hips as Leon runs a hand through his hair, cursing, then he comes back inside, sits down, and takes a hefty swig of his drink.

"Everything okay?" I ask, feeling a seed of worry bloom at the bottom of my stomach. Leon forces a smile, nodding as he places a hand over mine.

"Yeah, everything is fine. She's just an old colleague."

I nod, but I know from the way they were looking at each other that she was more than that, and I don't know if I have to be worried or not.

"Baby, you haven't touched your food?" Leon murmurs, nodding down at my plate. I sigh, pushing it away, my appetite long gone.

"Sorry, I just don't feel hungry anymore." I mumble. Leon watches me, trying to work out what's wrong, but instead of concern or care, he seems to put up his defenses.

"We might as well go then." He huffs, finishing off his drink and standing up with the screech of his chair. I stare up at him, looking around at the eyes now on us. Anxiety and embarrassment control my next moves.
